4th of July, 2007, i was among a few who received it from Zyan. in the email, he included the string of thoughts that lead him to complete the song. let me quote fractions of it. hope zyan wont mind me doing this, i'm really proud of having a friend who've wrote a song like this :)

"i have been writing up this song, which i felt the urge to voice out some thoughts i had in my mind about myself, but the process of the song writing has been prolonged..."
"i had too much things to talk about in this song, so the lyrics was never completed..."
"eventually, i ended up in ikea restaurant, on a couch, amidst the crowd, coffee and ciggies, i finished the song..."
"the song for me, its sorta a gift for myself for my 24 years old bday..."

when i re-read the mail just now, i realised i somehow missed the part that says he was having ciggies...

well, definitely a quarter life crisis song ^^ i generally anti QLC but cant help being drawn into this song. 4th July 2008. i let the song play over and over again on the computer while i worked in my cubicle. the cubicle i was to leave in less than two weeks' time. i wondered if he sent me this song to torment my already fragile spirit XD

and that wasnt the only time i've had it as the only song on my playlist to repeat itself for the whole day. today is another one of those days...
