isnt this really soon?

haha, supposed to be touching down in frankfut hahn already by now. instead i'm in chalmers booking tomorrow night's hahn-luxembourg bus ticket...

fuiyo~
you are right~
I MISS DE FLIGHT!
by 20mins ah... actually it was still 20mins before de flight departs but the check-in counters were empty already... this airport oh, is as small as you can imagine... only 2 counters @.@ i've nv heard of it until today... that is when i went to landvetter instead and the ppl there told me "ryanair flys from another airport" >.<

fuiyo~ like those movies oni, rushing for planes and then feels a jerk of vehicle braking, and a swamp of cars appear infront of your very eyes... end of working hour peak period traffic jam! fan!!! (that's how swedes say damn~)

the airport is located just outside göteborg, but with magnificent scenery surrounding~~ farms and canola fields~~ and lavender in sweden already! it means i'm definitely going to see them in southern france then ^^ cant believe sweden is so pretty in early summer~~

so i decided to walk to de gate outside and wave and watch those who were suppose to be my fellow passanger fly off... and then walk around the area for a bit... and then realise that i better book my bus ticket to luxembourg before it's too late :P

ya so! there you get the first exciting update about my trip, a nice evening in outskirt göteborg, haha~ actually took picture too, upload later with others :)

ah, forgot to mention, the girls at the info counter helped me to rebook my tickets for tomorrow~ still on still on ;P just hav to cut luxembourg and brussels short lo~ so good i din book anything, hehe... hope i dun miss that flight too XD

okla, pray for me.
and i shall wish mama a be-earlied happy bday for the 3rd time now :P

closure

my first yr as a chalmerist officially ends XD

can't blieve i'm actually busier after exam... until de extend that lunch had to be ignored @.@
anyway, busy can be fun when you are doing things you like~ for example drafting slew limit assembly?? ha~ it is officially my favourtie drawing leh~ and it gets twice as fun when you get paid doing it ^^ 3x as fun when they send you 3 sets with essentially de same design and wanted to pay you 3x de price... ally you are an angel~^^ though my x-boss mr. shrek successfully reduced it to 2x in time, ha... that is fair enough, saving me from feeling guilty ^^

updated cari GP after that... replying mails and msn msgs then... i really dun hav time to plan for de eu trip already, boat til bridge head nature straight~ but still hav to pack... wei, you ppl ah, want anything from sweden/france/spain/lux/belgium cepat say la... dun shy :P aiyo... need to go to forex... and my room is looking like a trash bin... and the internet connection is still down... and i should send my plants up to karin if they shall live to see another autumn...

ah, talking about karin~ here's another photo due to special request

that's karin and zorro of course :) taken yesterday, she dragged me up for dinner coz she said i shouldn't spend time cooking... dun envy... :P
really like how this picture turns out. i'm not particularly good at taking potraits... mainly bcoz tak de model to practise :P any tips dad?
she wonder if you and mama are going to visit me at all ^^ those europeans really cant understand how can we leave home for so long...
"so you havnt been home since last august?!!!"
"wot?!! you didnt go home for two years when you were in australia?!!!"
/swt... dunno how to explain de difference in value of money to them... just like how they couldnt understand when we would walked half an hour in the snow and rain "just to save 20kr"...

guess i dun hav to resit de composite exam afterall :P hopefully de lecturers will agree, ha~

there's too much going on this yr i dunno how to summarize them. hm... maybe that itself is a good summary :) anyway, let me quote something from someone who might like to stay annonymous :P
"...but as for me, I learnt a lot about myself
cuz you are more vulnerable...
then lost and found, give and take,
learnt something about everything..."

now that is a wicked awesome summary...
:)

tack så mycket...

should start to brew the travelling mood~ and should end the insomnia streak tonight :)

dang dang dang dang

if you are getting mental fatigue from reading news about the dreadful earthquake, or getting fed up by the unwelcoming headlines on berita terkini, or simply wants a break from chemistry reports, images of uterus (?!! i dunno...), inartistic yong tau fu, trying to get ur mind off something, sitting on de rock and pretending to be nice and cute, or even moms suggesting a test tube baby.... pls tune in to ASA FM, where good vibes prevail~

damn... i should replace the title and stuffs on this blog with the paragraph above... with de unofficial mrs. räikkönen reading, i dun even dare to write about kimi anymore... anyway, good luck to him in monaco! qualy in a while~

damn #2, "thanks" for making yang read wot i wrote about him.... hi yang, if u r still reading, dun take it serious, u r not that important XD

actually, the only solid info that you might get out of this post is going to be in this paragraph. it's about a third piece of news that completes a good-news-hat-trick~ karin popo decided to wave off my rental for july and august, i'm trying to convince her that she should still at least get paid for june... it's making me wonder if she really thinks that i'm a refugee... had i mention that she and her husband were famous for providing shelter for refugees during WWII? O_O

seriously loosing concentration... resit resit XD

The African Dreamers and iPod Green® - an introduction and conclusion

We had our final presentation for the environmental product development and manufacturing course this afternoon and now it is all done and over ^^ if you remember, this course is all about the project. there were only two lectures, and assessment will only base on the product that we've developed.

Our group has three members from the Product Development Master Programme, one from Ecology, one from Automotive Engineering, and I’m the Materials Engineer. It’s great to have the product development ppl to be the backbone and the others aiding them in our respective specializations. They are great in structuring the flow of a full product development, starting from studying Apple’s policies, identifying the problems and then formulating the solutions and even thought of how to market our product! How the hell does an engineer suppose to know so much about marketing?! Really learned tones from them!

We called ourselves the African Dreamers, coz every member in our group wants to go to Africa someday XD … there are quiet a few travel freaks in de group… I think we’ve covered every continent bar Antarctica and Africa.

It so happened that, in today’s final session, our product, the “iPod Green®” got the highest votes from our peers, ie. the fellow students ^^

And then our group was awarded the best presentation and opposition too ^^

Last but not least, we got “the price” for best project from the lecturers! ^^ which is a hand written 100kr voucher to be used in Kafe Bulten, the mechanical engineering building coffee house where I’ve consumed more coffee than any other place on earth~~~ how cool is that?

That was all great and pleasing, but the course coordinating lecturer actually had a final surprise for us. For the last task of the course, we were given half an hour, and suppose to find a quiet room and start complimenting our groupmates for what they’ve done throughout the course. My god! I swear that was the hardest part of the whole thing and was really a face reddening session…

As per Favco standard, the “d” word (“delay” it is) was also usual through out this project. Being an Engineering Coordinator before, i’ve learned it de annoying way how annoying it can be and then finally got use to it. Anyway, it was really nice to know how much others appreciate it when you put so much effort into getting things done on time and deliver with quality. Ppl just don’t usually say it out loud and we wouldnt have known if it’s not for this session…

Also they talked about being impressed by my CES skills, and I was smiling and thanking… but actually I really wanted to tell them that it has to be the case coz I scored 97 for that damn subject… LOL… thanks to feedbacks like these, I know I’m doing fine as a materials engineer in general :) at least the pass few months were not wasted and i din throw malaysians' face XD

On the other hand, it was also unfamiliar territory for me to praise others face to face… I don’t even thank or apologize when I feel I really should… it’s like saying, yang, thanks for being such a great companion and always be there whenever I needed someone, walaueeeeeh! (I write about yang coz I know he doesn’t read this blog =_=’’’) anyway, everyone was happy after getting so many compliments from different ppl, and the atmosphere was really good, haha… 高帽子真好用~ but maybe we should really give more compliments when we mean them, coz it is a constructive thing and ppl will be more motivated to do things right the next time :)

Well, it had been hard work through out de project, where numerous uncertainties pop up in every discussion, and there was only the group to consult. And therefore, groupmates are lecturers in this course ^^ Loads of decisions/ assumptions/ estimations to be made. It was a whole new experience for me and I really don’t think things would have gone as smoothly if I hadn’t work as an EC before... it’s awesome that the effort pays off in the end :) And our group will have the closure in Kafe Bulten tomorrow, quarter to 1 ^^

At the meantime, I should start trying to get my feet back on the ground and start studying composites already ^^ just checked, re-sit on 29th august, i'll be back in gothenburg on 28th, so it's possible to re-sit this exam, haha~

an aside: GO MU!!!!! why does my internet connection goes off on UCL final day... i'm in uni right now... reading de gamecast from soccernet...

ii scholarship !!

happy pun~~~~ got de scholarship from chalmers~ fundings for the euro trip~ wakakaka~ i love this school~ ^^

train tickets.... expensive until puke blood... even with the youth interrail pass, which i only need to pay reservation fees for some special trains... totally free to hop onto local trains :) that's why i want to do europe before 26 la~ and interrail pass only costs around 60-70% as much compared to eurail~ it is only available for those who've resided in EU for more than 6 months though.

ok, i'll leave the rest of the planning until end of exam then ^^
~~~加油~~~
another island
it's 1 degree outside and they call this summer.... anyway, it's really fun when the day ends at 10.30pm and it gets bright again at 3.30am. midnight sun is not too far away~
lets talk about de trip yesterday. all except one ferry back to gothenburg were cancelled, which is desastrous but also fortunate... at least they still left us one ferry, lol~ we were already planning for a night on the island excitingly~ with all the swedish we master~
*knock knock* or maybe *ding dong*
us: "hejsan, ushakta me" (hello, excuse me)
house owner: "hej hej, kan jag hjalp du?" (hey hey, can i help you?)
us: "vi prata inte svenska, talar du engelska?" (we speak no swedish, speak you english?)
house owner: "erm... a bit..." (this you know...)
and then we might get a nice bed for the night.... and they might take credit card?
anyway, we had to stay on the island until 8.40pm. outdoor all the time coz there were no shelter of any kind... so guess wot we did? ran laps around the little settlement area on the island to keep ourselves warm, haha~ and there we met baa baa black sheeps without wool and pirates of the Baltic sea, lol... and much more that we wouldnt see had we gone home earlier and not hav to run around like maniacs ^^
but we can start with some red bean paste..... with rice ball~ lol
单看卖相就懂是自己做的,哇咔咔~
we got a free trip on Paddan boat, on the Goteborg cannel. coz they closed the road (suppose to be something bad but turn out wonderful again~), and the only way to de other side of the city was by water.
sorry, i just cant help taking pictures of dandelions...
as per request, the size comparison...
these u can pluck and put them in the vase... and they will look wonderful :P
the one i've not yet introduce is johanna ^^
and this you know...
and these were taken in the materials testing lab.
we are the champions
my friend~
and we'll keep on fighting til the end~ (for UCL)
we are the champions~
we are the champions~
MU IS EPL CHAMPION!!
wait a sec... roland garros in 14 days? i will be in paris for the french open!! XD where JC ferrero and rafa boy won multiple crowns~ pure coincidence wakakaka... but they are not like the good old australian open... tickets need to be reserved by march. could go and hav a look at the ppl and stadium tho, ofcoz that will be after the luvre, the arc of triumph, the eiffel tower and... XD
wait just another sec... oh phew... thought i've caught up with the monaco GP too :P marseille is not awfully far away from monaco ^^ and actually, i've purposely avoided austria/switzerland for this trip... imagining the whole europe being there... they say, in mid july, lavender colours the fields in southern france purple, will i be able to see any in early june? not likely... but hopefully :) i've kicked away toulous/carcassone and granada/sevilla for provence, it better looks like heaven... XD
cant believe i've reserved half of my time for just two cities in spain, haha... barcelona and madrid will take up 4 days each, or maybe 3:5. i will only talk about gaudi when i hav the pictures ready :P and from the recommendations of a valladolid borned friend, madrid certainly sounds like a platform to many many many wonderful places XD including the place where don quijote (唐吉坷德) de la mancha was written. this place is a must-go :D the rest i might just decide when i'm there. will try to see a bull fight, though i know it is cruel, sorry mom!
that leaves luxembourg, brussels and lyon. we hav the famous railed bridge and old quarters in luxembourg, and the famous manniken pis in brussels (and belgian waffles and chocolates ^^), de famous food in lyon, but all three of them will only be day trips. will google a bit before i go and that's about it. local tourist info centres should be the best places to find interesting stuffs.
a bit too casual? ha~ that's the beauty of going solo ^^
prelim bangkok schedule: (it's been super efficient these few days...)
18th june: berjalan-jalan in bangkok
19th june: kanchanaburi for the rail of death
20th june: ayuthaya for the ruins from the old kingdom
21st june: chatuchak
22nd june: also chatuchak, haha...
23rd june: byebye bangkok, 24hrs train to penang, already heard about the bumpy ride, must be quite an experience~
24th june: hello penang lang~
25th june: byebye penang, hi dad and mom, oh hi yang and xuan oso~ and hi red bean bunssss, wakaka~
damn, i will miss a big chunk of the european championship... spain better go all the way to the final... go elnino! go david villa! go cesc! go xavi! go iniesta! go joaquin! go senna! go alonso! go i dun really know the defenders! (puyol, ramos, ibanez?, and that basketball guy, and ah... cant remember...) go iker! go subs! sleep more aragones!
random
when people fall, and climb up again, and fall again, and climb up again, and again, and again...
will we tend to start learning to play on the safe side so they dont get hurt anymore?
or do we simply got numb of getting hurt and it doesnt matter anymore?
or will we keep the spirit going and be more prepared to face the next fall?
when people think about the past, and worry about the future...
does the present trickles away without being noticed?
or isn't the past a mirror that we can learn from?
or shouldn't we prepare the umbrella before rain falls?
when the adults taught us about moral...
did they really mean it?
or are they only applicable to an innocent child until a certain age, and then we shall really forget about it in order to fit into, or even survive in the society?
or shall we actually do our best to follow those teachings even if it means sacrifice of some sort?
when i write on this blog...
do i really write wot i think?
or has it simply become a place where i report some highlights of my daily life?
or words and pictures are such disguise that sometimes, some of them can combine to contain a thousand meanings?
dont care, i want red bean bun....
Splintvedsgatan och Cortege
due to special request...
There, de street where i've been living for 8+ months now, Splintvedsgatan
The king of Splintvedsgatan ^^ he is de fattest cat around, always bully other cats, haha...
the house where i live is the only red house in the neighbourhood ^^
this picture a bit overexposed but... it's where i go down to the cellar (my room) la~ see de dark green door?
ok, now Cortege... it's a Chalmers student prank tradition which dates back to 1904. They build stuffs and put them on trucks, and perform, like below~ too bad i wasnt in photo taking mood :P
angels in heaven with water guns, bloody gothenburg weather.... the banner behind means welcome to gothenburg.... lol
trojan horse, something about norway... norways must have sent them something which looks good but actually bad, hehe... dun understan :P but they like to tease each other, these two countries...
denmark cant escape the pranksters' attention either... the little mermaid... and the broken oresund bridge in the background...
spice girls... or boys... this picture shows they were performing on stage, the next scene was that they were fighting backstage.... *sweats*
beijing olympic.... with oxygen masks... LOL... a few of them even pretend to be fainted, and the only 3 who din faint won...
the crowd were equally fun to watch~ ^^
and ah, it's valborg today... where they burn down houses and ppl and... no... they used to burn witches on valborg. the last sentence is true. but nowadays they burn garden wastes, celebrating the last day of spring and the coming of summer. a long long weekend in sweden. it started yesterday and we wouldnt work until monday. technology development excepted, as they say, hehe...
