杀手再续 + j city hopper 9

雨连续不停地下了几天，家里木质的地板透着一股湿气。一样是木质的房门和门框，在吸饱了水汽后，也膨胀得卡在一起。昆士兰各地续去年之后，再次遭受洪水侵害。真麻烦呀。。。好在今年灾情没那么严重。

如常地把家务当作禅修，愉快地干了一个下午。微微地冒着汗，喝着自来水，看着也在冒汗的玻璃窗，写这一篇。

如果欧阳盆栽是favco时期那群朋友里面的一个，那蓝调爵士就该是隆中一起长大的你们里面的一个吧 ^_^ 欧阳的家常，让人觉得很舒服，而原本觉得蓝调爵士这种名字，应该是烂言情小说才会出现的耍帅的男角吧，却和欧阳一样，是个智慧型的杀手。今天终于亲历他无声无息地干掉猫胎人，可比杀手九十九的极力赞赏还要有说服力。。。蓝调在两个故事里，都是低调的配角。这不太家常的家伙（我看june、玮、妖艳仔、jh、LL都没有很家常 =_=|||），好像随时都可以和他聊起达达主义演变成超现实主义的过程，然后同时拥有着隆中门人恐怖的实力（我看june、玮、妖艳仔、jh、LL都有很厉害 >_<）。有点怪的形容，也有自抬师门身份的嫌疑，不过，就是这样的感觉 :)

如果要和欧阳盆栽聊达达主义，只怕身为知识涉猎广泛的骗子杀手，应该也能够滔滔不绝，但却会回答“神经病，放工过后别聊这种严肃的东西”吧 ^_^ 哦，还有，会以西方美术史来当例子是因为蓝调爵士的诊室内有一张达利的仿画。在巴塞罗那被扒钱包后还硬要去看的偶像的东西出现了，当然要提一提~呵呵。。。而且，确实是和LL去看过达达主义和超现实主义的画展。

唉，肚子还是怪怪地，今晚ex-同事的生日派对还是不去吧。。。继续贴日本城市跳蚤的照片好了。

话说，住大阪的第二天，我去了奈良找鹿丸~

看九把刀的杀手系列，不亦乐乎~ 结果就这样认识了很强的鹰，最最强的G，可以分期付款的正义化身的吉思美，刺杀秦王却让荆轲青史留名的角，只种盆栽不杀人的欧阳盆栽，网上让人民集体雇用的正义第二代的月，爱杀杀手然后吃掉的豺狼，还有用拳头杀人的铁块。接下来在看九十九的档案了。只是目前那么多当中，好像还是最喜欢那个比在戏里面还要卒仔的欧阳盆栽呀~ ^_^ 甚至有觉得书中的欧阳比戏里还让人喜欢哦！好一个热血的卒仔！

不过，今天还是快把日本的照片再贴一下吧~这个东西不想半途而废。

上回说，来到了不太像日本，撞倒人道歉，人家还会怪怪地看着你的大阪。

大阪嘛，反正就是吃~哪里都是卖吃的~超好吃的吃的 ^_^

大阪府福岛区，我住那~ 同事说，经过这个manhole cover车马行人都得绕道，不准破坏艺术品~

再一个。就爱全世界收集manhole cover嘛~

别小看大阪，她可也有历史旅游价值哦~只是没周围的京都、奈良出名就是。。。有搭osaka loop的朋友们，大概都不会对天王寺tenoji陌生吧 ^_^

跳过一下，因为第二天跑去了奈良找鹿丸~这里还是继续post大阪的事比较有连贯性吧。请见谅，sumimasen~

之前有没有讲过一个莫名其妙就跟了一对母女在京桥站下车结果整个trip都没有去到大阪城的故事？没有嘛对不对？那来讲一下。在福岛站上了往大阪城公园方向的osaka loop，一对母女也在那里上了车。这对母女引起我的注意，是因为母亲穿了一身白的和服，是个漂亮有气质的妈妈。女儿则穿着不起眼的素衣，却长得一张太极脸，好像庙里的佛像="=|||知道有冲突啦，张三丰是道教的嘛。。。反正就是咱东方人的神圣脸，这样可以吧？所以，注意力都被她们吸引了。当她们在京桥站下车时，自恃手握着任意通行的JR rail pass，忍不住也跟着跳了下去。跟踪。

怎料，她们出了京桥JR站后，就跳上了非JR的京阪线，怎么不用买票的？！等等我呀！于是，三分钟内跟踪失败。。。

真的不能当杀手耶。。。

垂头丧气的一转过头，竟然眼前出现了大大的这个：

兴奋之下，就真的随着大字报上说的，搭上京阪线，跑到枚方公园去了~那天的我还真的random到。。。根本不知道这枚方公园是哪根葱。。。

到了，不对，快到了，还在火车上，看到了过山车、摩天轮什么的一大堆，就有不好的预感。。。不会是theme park吧 ="=|||

结果还真的是theme park。。。一场来到，只好硬着头皮，跑去问售票姐姐。。。（这一段当时在travel log中记下来了，所以虽然事隔一段时间，应该还是挺准确的 ^_^）
我：konichiwa. ego wa daijobudesuka? 午安，英语没问题吗？
她：=_= 叽里呱啦叽里呱啦。。。反正完全不讲英语。。。
她拿了一堆只有日文的brochure开始解释门票的类别，in日语 =_=
我：naruto no ekusuhibision （是exhibition啦） wa ikura?
她：？？？（继续专业地用日文解释）
我：。。。 choto mate kudasai 然后拿出相机，把上面那张大字报的照片给她看了。凑效耶！！她作恍然大悟状，然后开心地拿出另一张brochure，一直指着“无料”的字眼，又说了一堆。嘿~这个我可明白~免费呵~于是，反正就顺便看看日本的theme park，付了基本的入门票就进去了~

已不够时间去观光大阪城，我还是往大阪城公园去了。因为喜欢大大的公园和挥着汗在运动的大家呀~

然后赶回咱们在福岛的女生宿舍去，让sensei把我装进这个里

旁边的tomiko-san是咱房里特别照顾大家的大姐，想她了 :( 回马后马上email托宿舍把几张照片交给她时，说是也已经退宿了。。。希望她在神户过得好好的~ 那个房里，我们玩aussie讲英文-〉我翻成中文-〉台湾妹妹翻成日文，然后又另一个方向翻回去的游戏，玩得可开心呢~ ^_^

然后kimono sensei把我抓去出外景了。。。还真的要在外面活动活动，才知道和服有多束缚行动啊~

后来和sensei聊到那个小佛陀脸，她挥一挥手，直接就说：shichi go san嘛~ 7、5、3，是小孩们倒霉的岁数，得在十一月里到庙里去祈福，唉，可真差一点就能看到这个仪式了。。。

这一篇话好多，呵呵。

杀手 -- asaxin

迷腾腾迷到跑去图书馆找九把刀的杀手系列。因为腾腾拍了《杀手--欧阳盆栽》，什么死名字，对不？反正找到的是《杀手--流离寻岸的花》，好像在讲杀手--jun-e。。。或许看完再分享。

anyway，翻开第一页，在楔子之前，就先来了个“杀手三大法则”：

一、不能爱上目标，也不能爱上委托人。（这个杀手asaxin因该能够做到，还好没说不能爱上同僚）

二、绝不透露出委托人的身份。除非委托人想杀自己灭口。（这个asaxin应该也做得到）

三、下了班就不是杀手。即使喝醉了、睡梦中、做爱时，也得牢牢记住这点。（呃。。。这个有点难咧。。。对喜欢全情投入工作+全情投入生活的asaxin来说。而且，杀手还有上下班的？在脑袋里打卡吗？还有，那样就不能有圈外的朋友或长久交情的任何人咯。。。再不然就得弄个像样的副业。唉，当杀手真忙。）

这么麻烦，还是不当杀手好了，当个小小的material scientist自在~

是该继续日本的照片分享了，可是最近好累。。。*扮可怜博同情中*
改行变成trades person了呢~一个星期来，那些电钻啦，电磨啦，电锯啦，大钳子啦，起子啦，大剪啦啥的，都变成我的好帮手了。
肉体一累起来，就吃得好多。。。食量快像猪一样了。

其实还挺好玩的，只是如果老板可以再organized一些就好了。。。别啥都堆在最后一分钟，然后连big picture都不告诉人就好象在用工具那样用人嘛。。。

唉，加油！加油！加油！！！

除此之外，搬家也挺累的呢。。。因为之前都是厚着脸皮用玲的，现在添购大件物品，都用人力从1.5公里外的超市抬回来呢。还得分次买，一轮一轮地抬，嘿咻嘿咻~

昨天还被公司抓去上CPR的refresher course，因为是公司指定的急救人员之一。不停地干了14分钟的人工呼吸+心脏压缩后，觉得受害者如果不死，自己也差不多了。。。="=||| 老师还猛赞我比去年进步多了。拜托，去年的instructor不是她啦。。。其他两位同事还配合着解释说一年来都在忙着操练我。。。皮痒。

至少我们去那个圣约翰的支部是在fortitude valley。加上3.30pm就放人，赶快趁此良机到唐人街去大买一场。干什么呢？新年呀！有年糕哦~还有老婆饼、萨其马、蔴芝（爱~）、开口笑、夏桑菊、治咳嗽汤包、黑糖花卷、泰式鱼饼。。。反正一堆~得过个大肥年~

反正这个星期就是劳苦命+破费命+大吃命 :P
等不累了再给你们一篇载满好心情的大阪呵~

啊~满足~
一碗烧烧的用xmas ham的腿骨煲的 chinese mushroom soup 还有烧酒鸡+豆瓣酱炒长豆。还真难得煮中国菜，呵呵。虽然只是leftovers，但仍然吃得很香 ^_^

离开扑簌迷离的烟雨中的宫岛，在细雨仍不停地下的广岛把沾满了山泥和海苔的鞋子好好洗过，休息一宿。第二天一早，用吹风筒把未干的鞋子吹干后出发。由西折回，接下来一站是位于广岛和大阪之间的姬路城。日本现日规模最宏大的城堡，是the last samurai的拍摄地。

真的喜欢起KY来，是“稻香”那一次吧。。。是飞布城那一天，离家那个傍晚，电视机上正播放着的那一集。“还记得你说家是唯一的城堡。。。”，还能够再映景吗？！过后她好像就越来越不得了了~
再来，又是时候炫耀我独到的眼光了，嘿嘿嘿~好一个黎谦，9月看了3集就和爸宣布这一届支持你了哦~

少少的现在就谈到这，那么，再次搭上新干线由剑心的kampung出发~既然eason的“富士山下”已落幕，那就改唱“广岛之恋”好了~

不知道zomok，他们给了我一张爱心座的票 ="=||| 背着可以把自己淹没的背包的小个子，算是与残障无异吗？

在细雨纷飞的午后抵达广岛，是60几年来一直逗留在这里的亡灵在欢迎一个尝试着和他们connect上的生客吗？在离开原爆点不到两百米外的宿舍，要到了榻榻米的dorm room里2300yen一晚的床位呐~

把那个paralyse我的大包一丢，迫不及待地冒雨往和平纪念馆去。广岛是bedi-san推荐的，原本并不在这次行程的雷达范围内。被特别推荐的和平纪念馆和宫岛，都end up为此行的亮点呀。如果真的也参加了他最后推荐的海啸赈灾支援活动的话，只怕真的会变成毕生难忘的旅程吧。。。这家伙。。。:)

地上花花绿绿的，是悼念者送来的千千万万的纸鹤呀。。。

怎会有咱的语言呢？同事们也问了。我说，该是因为咱的土地在原爆的时候，也正被日军蹂躏着吧。。。博物馆，是出乎意料地中立。承认了南京大屠杀，承认了东南亚等地的军事占据，也同时道出了当时的日本为了维持庞大的军费而国力日衰，民生渐堕，从而大量地引入了中、韩苦力的事实。

一个身为被日本侵略的民族，之前从未有过的观点：原子弹被投在广岛和长崎时，日军的军力已到了最弱的时候。那为什么还要投下原子弹呢？原本为了对抗德军所开发的原子弹，在德军没落后，忽然没有了target。曼哈顿计划的巨大耗资（等值于2011年~24.4 billion）眼看无法被justified，只好硬着头皮，把target锁定为日本。美国人都相信，以这两个城市的牺牲者换来日本的投降所带来的和平是值得的。那为什么不在投弹前先示以警告，以威胁日本投降？

和平纪念博物馆附近，残留下来的 a-bomb dome，是当时在广岛最崭新的商业中心。在上面的模型里看见她了吗？

我落脚的宿舍，也在模型的范围内。和平纪念博物馆也是。看着一个又一个被爆者的故事，逗留到闭馆，离开时天已黑，细雨仍然不停地下。放眼看去，由博物馆走回宿舍的一路上，是让人心旷的和平纪念公园，整齐的住宅，还有小巷里的便利店和小型居酒屋。模型中不毛之地的样貌早已不复存在。馆内的展览说明着，原爆后担心着广岛再也种不出庄稼的居民们，在第二年的春天，就被长出来的新绿芽振奋了重建的决心。

不难拿今年的321 tsunami来和这个做比较吧。那么强烈的正能量，是很窝心的呢 :)

广岛市历届的市长，60几年来都没丢下的一份职责，就是对每一次核武演习进一份抗议书。这些书信的副本，满满地刻划在博物馆里的两道墙上。

向战争的受难者致意，祈求和平，唉，谈何容易。
祈求人类不再狗咬狗。从小事做起吧。

wish everyone a merry xmas!
and we can do new year in another post, now that i'm on holidays, hehe.

一不小心又半个月没blog了 :P
刚回来时还盛开着的紫色jacaranda，已只剩下开得晚的寥寥几朵，取而代之的是夏日贾丝敏的花香，是呀，在人行道上步行时，忽然传来一阵幽香的白色茉莉 ^_^

那个毫无道理、莫名其妙的underlying buzz of happiness终于慢慢消失了。最近这一年，身体怪怪的，没什么大问题，只是总有点小怪。是因为身体的原因让那个莫名buzz消失的吧。anyway, just in time for the xmas break to build it up all again! 呵呵~ 一个星期的假，得好好想想要干什么哦~ 想念去年在coolly和妈、nO和轩共度的的时光。虽然事件连连，却还是有生以来最快乐的圣诞吧 :) 或许今年也该找个海边晃个两天~

冬至和平安夜，变成了和玲在厨房各投所好的好机会~咱们各司其事，她负责主菜，我胡乱弄甜食，一起快乐的闹腾~他们家的客人还真多呀，而且都是些能够让人立刻亲近自在的朋友，舒服的存在 :) 咱们这个月的特别housemate Darryl还引进了日本人圣诞大餐的必备品 - KFC！他和祖先两个人竟然花了3个小时，跋山涉水地踩脚车出去把KFC弄了回来 ^_^ 反正食物做了好多好多呀~接下来几天都不必下厨了，呵呵。入乡随俗吧。在这里，圣诞总干得比华人新年起劲。但和玲一起搓汤圆的时候，还是好开心 :D

嗯，家里这个时候因该是另一番气氛吧？以大红为主，贺年歌曲为背景音乐的血拼该如火如荼了吧 ^_^ 好想成为这一幕里的一分子呀~ 将会是连续第二年错过新年了哦 T.T 所以你们过年的时候，心里要有我！呵呵。。。

工作多到KPI的percentage没办法足够分配，也算是头一遭呢 ^_^
回到布城快一个月了，心情是出乎意料的愉快。也会担心快乐会因为被这样写出来而消失掉。像不能说的秘密，冷咖啡离开了杯垫，我忍住的情绪在很后面。上几次长时间离家，第一个月都好难过呀~ 好像灵魂被撕裂成两半的那种不完整的痛，并非血淋淋，是长期溢着血清没法结痂的伤口。的这样形容的话，能感觉到吗？呵呵~

嗯，说起来杯垫上空空的，去弄一杯黑加仑子红茶好了~周末都尽量不喝咖啡吧 :) 稍等哦~

好~加两茶匙豆奶的无糖黑加仑子红茶乖乖地坐在杯垫上，等着被享用了。《离开的证据》这篇post里孤单的钥匙圈找回了以前在它那里住过的钥匙，妹妹毕业时照的不完整的全家福回到放空的相框，衣架的功能也已被restored。只有载着hydrexia同事们的送别祝福的卡和曼联球衣，记载着我曾离开的事实。

咳，喝着这茶，好想吃淋着牛油和蜜糖的土司。。。再稍等一下，抱歉抱歉。。。

this was building 54 in the Uni of Queensland which was my flooded lab.
irony intended when my boss took the pic :P

as the bull dozer in the picture suggest, it is being demolished.
you can even see the brisbane river in this picture, the blank space between the planks just under the "sustainable energy research group" sign, which gives an idea of how vulnerable it was when the flood came.

i am to say that the museum is such a gem. with mr. hayao miyazaki himself as curator, and probably designer, every single inch of the museum oozes out the ghibli theme. of nature, of imagination, strangeness, of beauty. apart from the exhibitions, which included original drafts, paints, mechanical displays, film displays etc, the construction of the building itself, with a european touch with its stained glass windows and attention to intricate details, was also a joy to admire. highly recommended to anyone who is going to visit tokyo :) cameras and video recorders are prohibited in the museum.

it wasn't until i came back to brisbane that i realise i'm not the only person fooled by the "north side south" map in shinjuku station ^_^ ling, who had obtained a human GPS status much earlier than myself, as we used call her "bandaraya" for her uncanny ability to know the kuala lumpur city as if she'd planned the very layout of it, was deceived by this very same map.

he hardly looks 35 in this pic... 父母总是把自己的孩子当小孩，身为孩子的又何尝不是常常忽略了父母渐渐年迈的事实呢？在我的印象中，父母也总是停留在30中旬，坚毅，刚强。

从日本回来当天，得知了在我外出的三个星期中，爸血压舒张压标高至150mmHg，妈则闪到腰以至无法步行。顿时无法不百感交集。还是那一句，不要等到天上俯瞰，那什么时候是最后期限？

爸和某公司的sales rep闲谈，我经过时，他玩笑地和mr sales rep说不属于这里的人出现了。我报以一笑，也瞎扯几句后走开。换成是以前的自己，只怕会因这不经意的一句而难过一番吧 ^_^ 大家还是会觉得身上的装备像我这样的一个人，在大马没有用武之地吧。。。

回来这一份工作，确实是如鱼得水呢。。。research，是给爱探险，爱往未知的方向闯的backpackers所设的完美的工作吧 :) 旅途上每一道荆棘教会我们的：胆大心细，才不会裹足不前，才不会大意失足。然后，是favco和瑞典那两个堪称奇异的旅程教会我的：practicality, efficiency。有了这三种avatar，在职场上也算能够自保了吧。

在东京和曾在澳洲居住了五年的bedi谈起我在澳洲的工作时，他竟然大叹还是澳洲最好。玲说，选择了离开澳洲的人，没有资格说澳洲好。是否意味着，离开了大马的我，也没有资格说大马好了呢？ ^_^

告别家人，通过海关后，终于再次感受到离开群体生活那种凡是得一力承担的心境变化。好像里面有什么在刹那间又变tough了。如果parallel universe存在的话，就是在这个当儿，世界又分岔了吧。

22J的机座，是air bus A330 ABC-EFG-HJK 式编号的右侧中间的座位。来到第22行，眼看今晚得被两个msian样子的年轻女子夹着睡了，坐在窗侧的妹妹站了起来，原来是aisle侧的大姐要求她和同行的大哥换位了。然后，他们让我坐了窗侧。嗯，好吧，完全没意见 ^_^ 十分钟后，我翻阅完了机上的餐单，想来今晚就不点什么了，airasia的飞机餐也都够不健康的。抬起头，准备把座位调整到舒适的倾斜度，隔壁友善的大姐碰了我一下笑着说: ei, you are going to be alone tonight, we are moving infront. 靠。。。然后，赫然发现飞机上的大家都在搬动手提箱大换位子，机内老外大怪: there were two kids beside me just now, don't know where they are now... 可爱的大马人，规则都是bendable的对吧 ^_^ 于是，我的状况只好再度improved到一个人睡三个位咯~

9.40pm，飞机准时离开parking bay。再度为airasia加分 :)

買茶記

來到京都，總得嘗嘗宇治茶吧:)往京都皇宮的路上，經過一閒宇治茶屋，就進去看看有什麽適合帶囘給嗜茶的父親。

一進茶屋，茶香撲鼻，一位一臉祥和的obasan嘰里呱啦地說了一大堆的問候語。我無奈地只管說，nihon-go wa wakarimasen，gomenasai。（日本語我不明白，對不起）。老婆婆愕了一下，問了一句，nihon-jin ka？（日本人嗎？）這一句我倒是明白了，不慌不忙地回道，nihon-jin janai（不是日本人）。老婆婆恍然，a soka？然後留下了一句mate kudasai，轉到櫃檯后去，拿了一份日本茶種類的漢字/英語解釋，又比手划腳說了一大堆，我只明白了她最後讓我慢慢看。

瀏覽一番后，選擇了一個叫“玉露”的綠茶。得向老婆婆確認用法，於是做了一個倒水的手勢，問道，mizu？老婆婆說，hotto，hotto。hotto mizu？（hot水？）我再三確認。老婆婆開心地hai起來。於是我就要了“玉露”，老婆婆把茶小心地用照片裏的綠色紙包起，給了我他們店裏的名片，然後和那一張日本茶解釋一起放入紙袋裏。付了錢后，我向老婆婆道別，正轉身出去，老婆婆又mate mate地叫住我，然後把紙袋接過，放入了照片裏的宇治糖和不明糖。最後，兩人在arigato gozaimasu和鞠躬中道別。

囘宿舍的路上，我實在忍不住，在lawson的100店裏，買下了照片中的瓶裝京都宇治抹茶奶茶，一解茶癮 ^_^ 接下來，或許該上一上這裡流行的（口契）茶店吧 ^_^

旅途1/3报告

唱完eason的《富士山下》,今天和ally各奔东西了…祝一个小时候飞的ally一路顺风~

富士山下河口湖畔的山梨县,是个让人能够心境豁然开朗的地方呢:) 好想post照片和大家分享呀~

在箱根有秋的红叶伴着泡汤;和试民宿的主人以歌、酒待客;还有谋杀相机记忆体的银色芒草原,都是目前的highlights吧:)

在小田原站上车,两个小时的东海道新干线,把我往西运到了京都.ally搭特急巴士东去,也该同时抵达东京新宿吧:)

因为又一个人了,所以选择了背着大包步行到离车站两公里的落脚地.ally呀,你走后我的食、住、行可都没人帮忙quality control了 T.T 夜幕里咋看之下,京都还真的保留了不少的旧试建筑呢.嗯,或许可以走慢一些,多住几天:)

该死的,回去后只剩一星期在马,让心里多少有点不舒服,打扰本小姐进入耳濡目染,神游其中状态.同行的ally也是心系雨林,于是咱俩互相影响,一起不在状态.

明天,期待已久的ghibli博物馆呐~就正正经经地去朝圣吧! :)

心无旁骛

叹。。。
和爸看凤凰台的一论坛，谈起了如何将射箭的态度，放大成为生活的态度。
要心无旁骛呀。

那一位清华大学的教授，也说到了现代人身周杂物多，诱惑多，但射箭的人，射不准了，不能怪责旁人、旁物、天时怎么怎么不利了。射歪了，只能问自身，哪里做不好了。

哪里做不好了呢？就是没办法心无旁骛呀。

我这小小的志向，和留在这一片热带雨林的希望，目前是无法同时达到的鱼与熊掌呀。看清了这后，我从布城回来了。原来是想放个大大的长假，或许就能明白了：找到个两全的法子，或是能作选择了。

最近和妈还有玮说起了，要么，在这雨林里，我惟有重返当工程师的路；要么，如果决定再出去，那么，或许就得把长久以来拴着我这颗心的雨林，这个大大的旁骛，给灭了。我和妈说了，我说妈，这一次再出去，我就不惦记着家里了，惦记着雨林，我没办法好好地过那里的生活，惦记着雨林，我没办法好好地对得起那里的人。

玮劈头就责我怎么跟妈说了这个。

我说我得让妈明白了。我也说了，这半年来，给家里来的电话不是少了吗？妈说没察觉出来。一个多月不打个电话，妈也没觉有啥异样，那么，我这颗心，还是灭了旁骛，专心去对得起那里的人正经吧？

写到这里，不竟闭上眼睛，怎么听，都还是很无情的狠话呀。。。想说，这里面，真的没有一丝不孝，也没有一丝责怪的意思。说的，还是无间道上大家都得面对的现实。谁走了，你惦记着他，失去的，也不过是你生活中的一部分。他走了，他惦记着的、失去的，是他生活中的全部。如果人与人之间的交往，是互相的电路板上的一个零件，那么，只断了并联电路上的一根保险丝的你，生活继续操作，然后找个机会把那一根小小的保险丝换掉，又一切如常了。这是天经地义的事。

而由几个并联电路模板串联起来的他，在离开的时候，是整个模板都同时发生了故障。这是会造成断电的吧。。。在用心建立着新模板的当儿，也只能尽力地维修和加强对旧模板的maintenance，然后仍然看着之前的模板上的零件无可避免地被对方撤换而一个个被摘下，惟赖着几个可靠的零件维持电路的流通。这心，对新或旧模板来说，不都有旁骛了吗？要心无旁骛，不就是干脆把全部零件同时发生故障的那个模板摘下，然后直接把新的模板建立在其上吗？这样，就和你一样，永远都只有一个模板，而不需要那么复杂地把那么多个不同的模板串起来了。

为什么想那么多？因为，心，都在这模板里面了呀。

说了归说了，实际上，还是没办法那么铁吧。。。

回来过后post都还没写几个，到头来，还是得靠自己吧。。。

如果离开家的话，那么hydrexia就是as good as any other can get了吧。当然会有更高薪的，更稳定的，更先进的器材的，更多research budget的，更有机会成功或早已在国际地位立足的公司，不过，人情上来说，这些都没法盖掉hydrexia吧。。。

来呀，让我生气了，不想见你们了，就走得容易了。

走之前一起做些什么特别的吧。。。让我记得你们了，一次走得干脆。

回来，重新学习过群体生活。。。
群体生活中，每个人都担任着不同的角色，为整个群体的整体利益贡献。再一个人生活下去，真的会对这样的无在乎你我的共生体生活生疏呢 ^_^

回来，真的好开心，好开心。。。见到大家，好开心。。。但，却还是和以往的每一次一样，知道自己会再次离开，因为在这里还是找不到sustainable的生活。。。只好在下一次离开之前cherish现在能见到的大家吧。那样，走的时候，或许就不会再有不舍了 :)

回来，是一种奢侈。恐怕真的是像玮玮n年前就说过的那样，“还没有回来的资格”。原来，那是把自己强化到能够sustain在这里好好地生活的程度，才能获得的资格呢 ^_^

回到来，算是过着第十个无忧无虑的日子吧。其实与其说是无忧无虑，更像是与世隔绝 ^_^ 间中还是和最最想念的朋友共度，还是得注意布城的一些琐事，还是在试着清理几道已经荒芜了的人际关系上的荆棘，这样的与世隔绝 :P

星期天两个弟在机场接我，感觉好像只是一个星期没见那样。回到家里的感觉也一样，“不过一个星期”的感觉。只是整齐地叠在床头的干净的枕头被单、还有被refreshen后折好在衣橱内的旧衣服，清楚地反映了妈妈的细心 :)

嗯，这一段时间，除了把作为精神神殿的身体搞好外，还是多做些工作日没办法做到的小事吧 :)

布城在哭泣

冬天都几乎不下雨的布城，竟然发出了连续五天的雨天预告。

竟然又出现了。。。像当年离开大马到瑞典留学前那种没完没了的farewells。把自己关在城堡里的家伙，也有这样的人脉吗？开放、友善的澳洲人，是善于拆墙、善于搭桥的民族呢。。。不是说城堡被breached了，而是怕真的被拆掉而自己先投降跑出来，和带着善意一直在敲城门的人们交往吧。自己，也曾经是这样relentless地带着善意在敲门的人吧 ^_^

就这样，和几个较强大的城堡的主人有了联盟之谊。他们之中有的是开放的，城门大开任人进出的华丽城堡哦；也有披着对外防卫的装甲，却尽情招待盟友的堡主。在盟友的庇护下，我渡过了在布城的12个月多。由最开始刚到布城拓荒的时候，为了自我保护而把自己封锁在城堡里的时候，就被这些盟友们运粮补助，技术转移，出兵退敌，还甚至对我城少数饿荒了到处抢粮的饥民们用了怀柔政策感化。

即使在我城逐渐强大后，对联盟的回馈让盟友欣喜，自己却总觉得不够。真正的感激之情，是无以为报的吧。。。

我城住着的是游牧的民族，牧草不肥沃了，就只有寻找下一片草原，否则，只会回归为饥民，沦为累赘。

离开布城之际，这样的连日雨，或许是fitting的吧。营造一个让我有机会在临走之前，contemplate这12个月多所有的一切的气氛。

哦，原来自己是标准的GenY~ 准到几乎可以拿来当模范的那一型~ 真没想到 ^_^
由Baby Boomer的妈，和Generation Jones的爸，组成的Helicopter Parents罩着培养出来的GenY~
GenY对teamwork的appreciation、对自己的heritage的执著与骄傲、对自由的追求、对改革的支持、与父母亲密的关系、在www世界的沉溺、对pop culture的拥抱、在悉心地保护下长大而滋长独树一格的个性、为奖杯而活的学生时代、职场上的跳蚤生活。。。自己都充分living up to it hey! XD

因为在被定义为Y世代开始的1982年之后一年出生，且亚洲在经济体制上X/Y交接较迟，所以总离不开GenX的影子吧~
“seemingly without identity, who face an uncertain, ill-defined (and perhaps hostile) future”
未知数的“X”，呵呵，金钱主义、无神、藐视权贵、轻蔑道德、还有diversity的代表族群呀~
这样说，真的会想和GenX的家伙们一刀两断吧 XD 非常抱歉 ^_^
不愿长大的GenY，是为了避免步上这样的GenX在走的路吧。。。抱歉了过后又在继续践踏的感觉O_O 是这样呢。。。并不是真的在鄙视GenX的前辈们，他们走的是他们的整个世代的族群必须走的路，很多是可敬地在和现实争上游。只是这一套，用在不需要它的GenY身上，会像把水和空气剥夺那样地干渴和窒息吧。

有趣的是，发现爸和妈，虽然年龄只差一岁，却分别是Generation Jones和挺地道的Baby Boomer呀~ ^_^ Baby Boomer和GenJones的cut-off，是1954年，而爸、妈分别是56和55 :)

墨笔

最近也写得太懒散了吧。。。过去20天来就只发了一篇post。
和另一半开始对你不理不睬一样，大多是因为有了新欢吧。。。
最近又继续地在写那一部还不知道名字、不知道长度的故事。第一次着手写现实题材的小说，之前都是fantasy或记事多吧。。。像最早的JP，还有RO的故事，游记，和这部落里的杂录。

进展很慢，一天大概只写半页到一页。目前还是内容很intense的东西，或许该再把它扩张，dedensify 一下。不然应该会很难吞吧。。。

失业的时候，或许能够好好地写也说不定。不过，不太乐观，回到大马，自己总会进入小绵羊状态。这次写小绵羊写不出的大野狼题材。想让大家看看总是被说带着面具的自己，在别人很难看到的铠甲底下的模样吧。。。有点想问 “如果是这个样子，那还想再看吗？” 的意味吧 ^_^

也或许，即使到最后，完成了，也不会让大家看吧。。。

第三天在清冷的冬天早晨搭上新居附近的122路巴士，向司机先生说早安。和这冬的早晨一样冰冷的司机先生第一次回我“早安”。

第三天默默地祝在一个接一个站上下车的同样的搭客早安。122路是清冷的路线，寥寥的搭客都是固定的上班、上课的routine一族吧。

八月的第三天，冬将在28天后，咱们国庆日结束。那一天，将是我回到家里的第三天 ^_^

7月24，怎么觉得是个有点意义的日期呢？想不起，想不起呐。。。

跑完modest的5k，汗流浃背地在写这个post。算是向家附近那默默地接受了我一年份的汗水的人行道道别吧。下个星期就要搬到garden city去了，在布城最后一个月的屋顶。说起来，虽然可称得上资产的东西实在不多，也好像该打点打点了吧 ^_^

会怀念sunnybank这间房的吧。。。是续哥德堡那间半地下室后，第二个让我有“家”的感觉的房间呀~ 当只能够靠自己的时候，四壁和屋顶，就成了唯一的归宿和对外物的屏障吧。还有治疗灵魂的音乐 ^_^

jun-e该要结束旅程了吧~

在FB上和chalmers的同学，favco的旧同事，布城认识了又离开了的朋友，因不同的原因不约而同地搭上话，总有点unreal的感觉。和身在他方的家伙接触dosage太多的话，会把现实淡化吧。。。变得半透明那样。尤其是在现实的改变又来临在即的时候。所以呀，尽想这些，怎么不心情怪怪呢？ ^_^ 村上的那一句话，还是在parallel universe中溺水时挺诱人的一根稻草啊。

《1Q84》果然是有力量的一部作品呀。。。在海外呆过不少日子的村上，只怕也有活在所谓的parallel universe里的时候吧。。。来日再重看吧:)

最近也在选择回马后较难着手的书来看了。食物方面好像也是呢 ^_^

天气，布城暖暖的冬天的阳光，还有偶尔因为云层水汽的保温作用反而让温度稍微提高的雨，让人想起去年过来参加玲的婚礼时的光景呀。

一年来却又人面桃花了呢，看似缓慢的渡过，却好多事都发生得好快呀~ 背景音乐又传来了，机械化的女声说着"level up"的sound effect ^_^

清澈活跳的岔流又出现了呢~又要干不顾一切的事情咯~请见谅 ^_^
（关于岔流的事，请参考*此帖*)；

一直没办法确定选择了到布城来是否正确，是因为作为basic intention的东西不知道能否由这条路达到。如今，总算可以松了一口气地微笑了 :) 而一路上的风景，也确实赏心悦目地观赏过了呢 ^_^

香港过来working holiday的kate在今早搬走了。结果我无端端接下了一笔遗产。人家说apple and orange是没法比较的，但kate的这颗apple还是很开心地混进了我AUD3二十颗的naval orange堆里去了呢，呵呵~

自己的遗产，只怕要留给玲和祖先了~

brown sugar, choc chips, dark choc, white choc, oats,还有 unsalted butter竟然刚好一起用完了呢，真巧得有点不可思议。

今天放工前传来不太令人鼓舞的消息，于是烘焙了平日最laku的oatmeal choc chip cookies，准备明天拿去慰劳hydrexia的同事们。CEO说了，钱，最快也两个月后才会进来。那是如果真的会进来的话。

所以呀，抱歉了，我也只好最快也两个月后才辞职。钱进来之前，他们没办法聘用新血呀。最近也着实比之前忙碌了。虽然还是没办法run实验，但hippy老板慢慢把责任加了上来。和favco的老板比起来，他可多用了好长时间才一点一点摸清我的长短呀 ^_^ 麻烦就在这里了，摸清了后，两个老板都任我往自己爱跑的方向去了。间中又给予适当的提点、讨论和support，是很诱人的啊！ >_<

on de other hand，好想回家呀！等不及回去揍我们家那只面白唇红的小丑，那只丢人现眼的东西！八月廿八见！

对了，bobby vegas辞职了。他老板MG知道消息后一直郁郁。会是骨牌效应的第一波吗？柏拉图也在找其他的工作，而在布城已停泊了两年多的jenkster也已准备再次起航，在申请加拿大的居留证了。人心惶惶呢。

好快又回到 QPAC concert hall了 ^_^
有人知道/记得朱宗庆打击乐团？

是孩提时代和爸一块现场观赏过的乐团。当年在吉隆坡天后宫。那时候因为有这方面的熏陶，所以才privileged地被爸带去看了那么高水准的表演呢 ^_^ 不过好像浪费了，因为都没听明白嘛~不像天才chiaki senpai那样，小小就听出神入化的东西 >.<

上周末和朋友去吃午餐时，在shopping complex里看到了他们在布城公演的海报，过后立刻去购了票。结果，因为加了一点点classical的底，再加了一点点年纪，这次演出的7首里听懂了4首半，半首似懂非懂，2首？？，其中心认真欣赏了2首，外加1首惊天地泣鬼神 T.T

让神鬼落泪的那首，叫《izanagi》。熟悉日本古典小说的，对这就不陌生了。她对我有如此的震撼力，除了富有乐感强、多种敲击乐器重奏、故事性强的特点以外，还是因为和《青蛇》相似吧。占据了我悠悠三个小学学年的《青蛇》，是小小的自己最喜欢的一套表演呢~ ^_^

说的，当然是廿四节令鼓 :) 是因为自己负责配合着《青蛇》的音乐演奏时，大家所带的面具的关系吧。。。责任，对小孩原来有那么大的影响？后来都一直很喜欢面具，不论西洋式，或咱大中华花旦带的面具都喜欢，或许也是那时候被深深烙下来的偏好 :) 但小小的自己多少还是明白《青蛇》在表演艺术价值里那挺酷的东西的 ^_^《青蛇》带着诡异的整体意境，灵活多变的4-5-6-5-4鼓阵，总比那个让咱们意外获得最佳表现奖的长方阵《八千里路云和月》合胃口的多。

没想到后来的自己倒是让云和月伴着走了不少里路，读了不少卷书 :P 然后又写了这篇回忆录之类的东西呐~ ^_^

所以啊，别说没警告你们，以后抓我去看现场，就要tolerate一个会开始在旁边乱感动乱哭的笨蛋哦 ^_^

《the valkyries》

Paolo Coelho 的书真危险呀。。。因为作者是跟自己一样，不安定，没法停下来的人吗？June也会有同感吧。。。书里描写的在大漠里灵魂膨胀的过程，和June从Burning Man回来时所描述的一模一样呢。。。

记得在hydrexia的圣诞派对里，老板让我们把自己的top 25 books 列出来，Jenkster和Woodzy不约而同地都把P.C.的作品点了几部，其中都包括曾经在这部落里写过的《the alchemist》。<-- Click书名有link.

都是有volatile history的人呢。老板在上个星期的materials team meeeting里，问候了我们面对公司或许濒临倒闭的心情，说自己是因为在过去十年内转了三份工作，所以或许不会像一般人那样为丢失工作而感到焦虑。在北方的Darwin，西方的Perth，南方的Canberra都住过，且曾在北美和欧洲过着一年半以bar tender为生的背包生活的Jenkster，直接了当的回答"it doesn't bother me"；Woodzy则曰:"过去十年，我经历了三份工作，两间屋子，和两个long term relationship的女人"。全场轻笑。事实是，老板自己也有两个小于十岁的拥有不同母亲却没有一个是他妻子的女儿。而我呢，十年内换了五次的country of residence。难怪被聘请了。不安定的同类嘛。。。(附：刚知道原来jenkster也是burning man的生还者^_^)

《the valkyries》里的主角，是一个在束缚着自己的茧未破之前，每年都没事辞职转换工作的家伙。'a mania of leaving everything behind'。而作者也相信世人都被 'people always kill the things they love' 的诅咒缠身，并且主张 'there is no love in peace, whoever seeks peace is lost' 。针对最后一点多作解释，直接quote书里的，当女主角想反对这一点时 '... she could think of not one moment when love had ever brought her peace. It was always accompanied by agony, intense joy, and deep sadness.' 爱是战争呢 ^_^

虽然作者那样说，却并不觉得后两点是普遍的。至少在咱大马华人的culture里不是那样。咱们的culture里，淡淡地爱，是一种艺术吧~ 所谓君子之交淡如水呀。如果大家都像过儿那样大喜大悲，爱恨分明（实在不适合用淡如水的君子剑），只怕生活会闹哄哄地，永无宁日，变得值得成为查大侠笔下的东西了。当然，现实中的爱里，agony, intense joy, and deep sadness的时候也还真的着实不少，所以才希望这样淡淡地、peaceful地爱的时候能多一些吧~ 好像在望后镜里看着喜欢的男生在自己开着的车上合眼小憩片刻时那种安祥满足的感觉 :) 或者像June说过的，一天的工作结束后，回到家里有人陪着坐在沙发上一起看电视的安祥满足的感觉 :) 简单的东西。

希望主角能在剩下的3/5本书里，找到解除缠绕着世人的诅咒的钥匙，也顺便给我们一些提示吧。

舞之神化

出席的是Maestro 6, 贝多芬七号的演出。记得伸手进衣橱把套装夹克拿出来看了看，皱着眉又把它放了回去，选择穿了一件灰黑色的denim shirt，还有上面的照片可以看到一角的粉红灰色折叠半截裙+黑色leggings，甚至还给足面子地画了妆。不过，结果还是严重under dressed 了XD 出席者打领带、bow tie的，穿高贵长裙的，占了大多数。好在和哥德堡那次一样，大多出席者都是头发花白或全白的爷爷奶奶们，一个casual的小鬼混进来就让她混吧~ ^_^

recite李斯特的piano concerto一号的那个阿根廷-委内瑞拉小鬼Sergio Tiempo，竟然也只穿了一件黑色的shirt就在台上挥洒他丰富到溢出的钢琴天分 XD 我们这些genX的不把任何场面放在眼里的死东西呀~结果被安可了呢 :) 安可的演奏，竟然也临时改弹了肖邦的夜曲，果然是随兴的家伙呀 ^_^

很喜欢Eivind Aadland对第七号的诠释。虽然没有古典音乐的背景，但挑剔的耳朵说昨晚的演奏，带着瑞典人"golden middle way"般的中庸、舒服、直接、简洁 :) 尤其是第二个movement，音乐上来说实在太棒了，而最后一个movement则是让人沸腾的那一种棒~ 来看看编辑出来的片断？是balcony第一排的视野哦 :)

帮我物色employment的朋友们，先谢谢你们了 ^_^ 自己也好像该开始认真去看一看职场在提供着什么样的机会了 :P

想说其实，在brissy一直被照顾着呢。。。尤其是transportation方面。每当有什么特别的events，玲、Rand、Jenkster和Woodzy总是在没开车的自己还没来得及开始烦恼交通问题的时候就提出了offer。住在靠近action中心地点的TK甚至欢迎我随时任用她家的空房。

anonymous的留言，也拥有很强大的力量哦~ 然后，那个在whatsapp上形同24hrs support group的东西，虽然有时候很吵，但能看到大家吵吵闹闹还是很好的 ^_^

最近还被在little singapore餐厅打工的kate喂食着，隔一天就打包一大tub的什么回来。目前已经有叉烧烧鸭饭，菜心炒牛片和大马式的咖喱鸡了。一tub可以分三餐，加上偶尔和同事的午餐bonding session，基本上都不必下厨了 ^_^

或许是因为有时候还是会刻薄自己吧。所以被认为这家伙不关照一点不行。像Karin婆婆觉得我是亚洲来的难民那样 XP 套Jenkster的话

"Ye need somebody to take care of ye. And that person, might as well be me"

听着倒是很想给他一拳，说得自己好像救世主似的。。。

真正让人欣喜的，倒也不是物质上的方便，而是那份肯为朋友劳烦，为朋友着想的温暖的心吧 :)

和ally说着，人单靠自己是会累的。累了，就秉持着那一份对朋友的信任，靠着他们歇歇。元气恢复后，又能坚强地走更长的路了，也能让途中走累了的朋友靠着了。是个self sustain的完整圈子呢 :)

常在想，小时候的我们，看到今天的自己，应该会觉得很不可思议吧。。。也不用去到很久以前，大约3、4年前的自己，或许都不敢给自己定下目前已成就的一些吧。。。今天的自己，表面上不是比小时候的任何梦想中还酷得多吗? ^_^ 可是，还是在抱怨着什么，觉得自己一事无成的，或者钱赚得不够多的，career那盏摇摇晃晃的梯子爬得不够高的，好苛刻呀。。。是在努力接近目标的同时，又在追逐更稀有的蝴蝶的关系吧。也是好的？有要求才有进步，但真的好苛刻呀 T.T

anyway，北wynnum的mangrove broadwalk很赞哦~是去完成上次那个walk walk walk时未完成的最后一段路线。绑架了新housemate，香港来的working holiday maker - Kate，一起去 :)

生活段落

祖先的父母从马过来，玲和他们一家到byron bay去渡过周末。adrian最近好像常和新女友在一起，都不见人影呐。dian也在两个月前搬离了。看来，这周末，家里好像会空空地。

奇怪地hangover free...

宿醉到底是怎么一回事呢？有时候可以好像头要裂开一样，有时候却好像今天，难得沉沉地睡了一觉后，好像可以去跑个10k也没问题那样。。。

最近都在以自己烘焙出来的东西作主食呀。。。所以好像该找些健康一点的食材，不然一天到晚那么多的白面粉、糖和牛油下肚，下一次的健康检查结果可不得了。可今天又想吃kanelbullar了 >_< 因为在读《millennium》的关系吧。那么，干完laundry后，还是出去买些材料和groceries好了。顺便去找近来喜欢上的土魠鱼(mackerel)汤解决一餐。韩国豆腐汤？嗯，明天登山回来就做这个吃吧 :) 还有yogurt和豆奶。那么，grocery list 就有着落了~ 会很重的感觉啊 ^_^

经商游戏方面，真的是好玩当中又学到不少东西呢 :)

谣传是真实的。经过半年后，ebay那里果然开始有起色了。最近bulk buy的人多了呀~

coorparoo那里提点了我不少的年轻老板自洪水以来生了重病，那里的游戏只好终止了。

而五月才刚开始的格子店面那里，一开始sales是sluggishly地慢。上星期跟着第一次做的customer feedback调查改掉sample的呈现方式后似乎开始pick up了 ^_^ 一个认识多年暂时anonymous的朋友（不是常这里那个小可爱 ;P）也把一些商品托过来合租一个格子，热切期待呀~

至于正经的面包牛油的工作嘛。。。过去整个星期，CTO到欧洲去找$$。整个办公室于是作怪。迟到、午餐时间一小时多不见人影、再次在workshop jamming、提早喝酒、一面喝一面工作。。。效率和沟通却大大提高了。唉。。。您怎么批？个人方面，一个星期都在埋首CAD。CAD是一个不太透风的东西，首埋在里面太久会像李寻欢那样，没事想作呕。所以，虽然很喜欢，在CAD的世界里面时也可以很专注地连午餐和回家时间都忘记，但想作呕时还是有必要逃开。

只是一个星期的生活，就几乎每个浓缩的段落都可以写成一整篇的样子呢。放着我不管，就会变成这样莫名其妙地精彩吧 *苦笑*

原来《1Q84》的Q是Question?的Q 呢。是1984年的无法被解释的平行世界，parallel universe。开头第一章里的计程车司机早早就暗示了平行世界的存在，抛下了一句

“那么，做了这种事之后，日常的风景，怎么说呢，看起来可能会跟平常有点不一样了。我也有这种经验。不过不要被外表骗了。所谓的现实经常只有一个。”

所谓的现实经常只有一个。

走无间道的人，这一句该很受用吧 ^_^ 继续慢慢地学习生活的意义，细细地品尝各种being alive的味道吧。like jonny said "like frankie said "i did it my way"" XD

迫不及待地在星期四放工后到图书馆去把《1Q84》Part2掠了回来，还意外地借到了望穿秋水无觅处的《the girl who kicked the hornet's nest》，millenium系列的第三部曲。说起意外，周六还真的意外地在一个义卖会上以AUD1购得了5本不错的书，另一个AUD1硬币换取了7只小小stuffed animals :)

anyway, 很高兴回到平淡安静的周末。星期五下午早放工，和同事们去玩18个洞的游戏庆祝实验室竣工。第一次玩mini golf再次证明了俺的运动天分呀~XD 喝了两杯后回家，和同事约在家附近的sunnybank饮夜茶。星期六一早和朋友逛义卖会，稍晚的早餐后回到家里在冷天呷茶，一面谈天一面吃着一起烘焙的scones就晃过了半天。送走朋友后，弟告知semenyih家里的webcam修好了，和家人一点两岸三地连线聊了两个小时^_^，玩无聊的facebook游戏，4.45am起来看我心爱的曼联被送上屠宰场，然后一整个闲闲的星期天~完美呀 :) 加上最近又在做熟悉的CAD工作，除了实验以外，最喜欢这种concept embodiment的工作了~ 会聚精会神到连午餐和放工时间都错过哦 ^_^ 哎哎~ 满足地叹气~ ^_^

《1Q84》

其实应该是1984吧？只知道故事发生在1984年的晚春、初夏，那是差不多现在这个时候，4-6月的时候，不过南半球的布城是深秋、初冬罢了。

或许是有别的原因叫《1Q84》的，只是看了89/421页后还不清楚。是另一本让我亢奋的村上作品呀~上一部《夜黑之后》，读着读着失望了一下，不是村上平时的笔触？选喜欢的作家的作品还是会有风险的呀 ^_^ 其实回想起来，金庸大侠也一样吧。。。《侠客行》、《连城诀》、飞狐系列，都有点难咬。在瑞典时填补我无数个夜晚的robin hobb笔下也有O_O的。但至少90%以上都是好东西吧~作家也会有起起落落，easy come easy go，little high little low :)

反正，这一本，在看第一章时脸上就兴奋得堆着微笑了。第二章是完全不同的故事。结果两个故事都造成涟漪。

能阅读是幸福的 :)

以为自己很好了。。。一直到有谁偶然地来把隐藏的不安化解，那种突然间有什么被卸掉的感觉，才让自己发现原来还是有什么在哽着。

那时候好多人问我为什么会决定离开马来西亚到布城来；相反地，也好多人问我是什么原因让我那么的左右为难，在他们眼里，选择到布城来是理所当然的吧。两方面，我都没有办法提供一个让提问者满意的答案。其实到底是为了离开呢？还是为了到来？push or pull？没办法回答，因为答案是一个compounded因素多到自己都没办法一一弄清的，只觉得，怎样还是暂时离开好。

一直到来到布城后，都还不确定自己的选择是否正确。是在过了一段日子，时间慢慢把面粉团擀平后，才能够比较清楚地看见暂时离开的决定是对的吧。。。而且这种heart wrenching的抉择还真能当motivation呢 ^_^ 让人觉得既来之，则充分利用之，以致无悔的感觉吧 ^_^

眨眼间，已在这里炖了9个月，那是3/4年。再文的火，也该把锅子里的wotever炖得差不多了吧 ^_^ 自己的projected forecast 说，能做的，大概都能在8月前完成*fingers crossed*。于是买了八月杪返马的机票。那差不多是等于放弃了澳洲PR和这里的资薪了。又是一个很大的决定呀。。。剩下4个月的时间，1/3年去把loose ends好好扎起来。

在这里，也多亏了玲和Rand的照顾。好想念被12岁就出外的我靠了大半辈子的朋友们。忙忙的玮玮，目前经度很接近格林威治的饺子，妖艳的妖艳仔，好久不见的Dr. Edison，不懂还有没有睡觉脚抽筋的Fatimah，当妈妈后还是一样青春的AhBoon；S'ban舒服的枕头们；瑞典的天涯沦落人；背包路上跋扈青春的灵魂，还有欲断魂的行人。。。

till we meet again, looking forward... :)

The Millennium Trilogy has rekindled my cravings for kafe och kanelbullar. Good old Swedish coffee and cinnamon roll. Skimming through one of LL's recipe books, a page dedicated for kanelbullar suddenly jumped up. It looks easy enough so why not? We've got all the required ingredients at hand anyway :)

Self rising fluor 2 cups
A pinch of salt
90g butter
2/3 cup milk

If you knead them all together and roll it out, it becomes the bullar base.

60g butter (softened)
1 teaspoon cinnamon
2 tablespoon brown sugar

Mixed in an electric mixer, and we've got the filling. Easy~

Roll it up and cut into 2-3cm pieces, and they are ready to go for heat treatment, in material scientist's term ^_^

Recipe says heat treat for 12mins at 190degC if oven is fan forced. In my case, 200degC for 16mins plus 3 mins at 210degC gave a good result. Crispy outer crust and moist soft inside :)

Ta~daaa~~

Ready to serve. Looks a bit more appetising than IKEA's name damaging version hey? XD

Easter and Anzac edition

A wabbit for Easter and a rising sun for Anzac day :)

One a penny, two a penny, hot cross buns~ My boss' 2yr-old call them "ssbuns", dividing the words up in the wrong place ^_^ Anyway, if there are cookie monsters in the world, I think I should be their ssbuns counter part. On top of that, there's the long weekend off that makes Easter always welcomed. As a matter of fact, we downunder are having 8 out of 11 days off. As Anzac Day and Labour Day conveniently stick close to Easter.

I have been recently poisoned by smart phone photo editing apps, all thanks to the contagious Whatsapp kakis >_< Lomo film, vintage papers, dreamy white shines, simply awesome. The natural consequence is, I'm in desperation for a model. So please send in your application in any kind of communication means. Not many things can beat a weekend with a good book over a delicious cuppa and scone. And this is turning into a routine since coming back from Malaysia, seeking peace... and seeking good coffee :)

It becomes even better when Lisbeth Salander's story came into my hands. The stories are fully sick, but not even close to be as interesting and engaging as the girl's character itself. In that accord, the leading male character looses out by a hundred miles ^_^ But I'm only half way through the trilogy, lets see if Kalle Blomqvist can live up to Salander's standard in the remaining 1.5 books :)

Also important to myself personally, it is based in modern Sweden, the Sweden that colours two parchments full of my life, if life can be recorded into parchments that represent each year passed by. The resonance it created within me is therefore likely to be more severe...

The Millennium Trilogy - "The girl with the dragon tattoo", "The girl who played with fire" and "The girl who kicked the hornet's nest" by the late Stieg Larsson. Disturbing and extremely addictive as one's darker inner self can almost relate to most of the dangerous stories being told...

relapse。。。这次是那个自己梦想的家的relapse，哈哈。
这种想法上一次出现是在第n次逛哥德堡博物院，在看那里19世纪中产阶级的家庭陈设的时候。细致花纹的壁纸，古老的钢琴，其他倒不太记得了。。。只记得那给我的感觉是：能有这样的一个家是很美好的，只是不太适合一个每一两年就换地址，甚至换电话号码的家伙。

这一次，是梦想着一个可以好好地招待朋友的地方吧 :) 客厅不用太大，却要有舒适的沙发，然后pantry里齐全的各种各样的茶、咖啡、还有其它饮料，冰箱里可不能少了啤酒咯~以爸为榜样的话，或许还得存放着几种更高酒精的液体。自己和多数女生爱喝的甜的，bailey's，malibu，kahlua。。。还有比较standard的vodka，whisky之类的。妈要晕了，呵呵。还是来呷呷茶的人多吧 :)

那样的话，也希望可以有一个烤箱啊~客人来之前，先把小点心以他们喜爱的口味弄好，幸福哦~ 当然，如果有人一起来弄的话会更幸福哦~ ^_^

说起吃的，那pantry里面也不能少了配茶、下酒的咯~会选择坚果、豆类的吧。在这里的话，可以临时去买些乳酪配饼干；马来西亚的话，去买一包muruku好了 ^_^ 还有，削好皮、切成bite size，用叉插起来就可以直接送进嘴里的水果~ 妈妈不可思议的家教啊。。。

再来，就是在客厅里放一些扑克牌、board games、棋盘什么的，两个人以上进行的活动。至于电玩嘛，再考虑 :P还要有一个mp3播放器，客人可以自己选歌，当然也可以带自己喜爱的playlist过来，丰富播放器的collection。

那样的话，就不用每次想hangout就往外跑了~除非是真的要在外面做些什么特别的。

进一步去想，如果可以的话，大门是对朋友们敞开的，爱什么时候来就进来，肚子饿了又还不想回家，就自己过来煮一包面什么的。只要别入侵我的神圣的房间就好 ^_^ 如果容许的话，希望有一个小书房。里面的书和杂志像图书馆那样按种类编排着。书也任借（得还啊~），任捐。喜欢的话就拿起一本，躺在客厅里看。

最后，还是希望有自己的电子琴呀。加上那个被抛下n多次的贝司 ^_^ 要弄成jamming room的话，隔音得做得很好。还要一个amp system吧？然后大家自己带自己的乐器过来，像音符被五线谱穿起来那样，通过音乐穿在一起~

怎样？是做梦吧 XD 漂亮的梦 ^_^

四月来了后，天气是转凉了一些呢~今天pizza lunch时同事们惊人的胃口，代表着他们的winter belly归来有期了，哈~

从马回来三个星期，终于开始沉淀下来，渐渐回到之前那样的频率、规律和纪律 :) 总觉得还是有好多想做的事还没完成呀！啧，啧，啧。。。好奇心kills a cat，好知心kills asa~

妹曾经评说,就摄影的style来说,家尊是写实主义派的,而我是浪漫主义派的。父亲照出来的,大多主题突出,似乎是镜头有力地在说"这就是我要补捉的"。我的照片呢,被弟的一句话盖括:骗人的成份居多,实物明明差得远着…想这就是浪漫主义者的唯美细胞在作祟吧^_^

妈说,我和妹名字里的"欣",是希望我们可以去欣赏一切的美。我照片里"捏造"出来的东西,其实都是真正存在的呀～只是换了个角度,用心仔细的去看,就会像父母给我姐妹俩的名字那样。要找到一切的美，只不过在一念间吧^_^

隔了好久,摄影的感觉竟然继上一篇在铅笔和纸上的宣泄后一拼回来了…一个偶然的念头把我带到幽静的Newfarm,以赖轻轻掠过的布里斯本河风带走一夜跋扈后残留在体内的毒素。意外地再次被河畔路旁朝着艳阳盛开的daisies牵动了本在冬眠的摄影细胞后,才写下了这一篇…

SE X10mini 的功力，可是完全没有edit过的哦~所以也别小觑了X10系列的相机呀 ^_^

获取到过后的能力，果然是一直都会跟着你的呢 :)
那时候担心独步天涯所需要的胆大心细，会在那样被温室一样地保护着一段时间后消失，是白担心了 ^_^
也担心过在瑞典之居时掌握到的某种东西会离我而去，在需要用到时它们却不期然地回来了。。。
如今也会担心之前几年来练就的mental stamina会被澳洲温润的工作风风化，想是如果回favco的话，会被上司、同事们劈吧~今天的表现却又把这个也一扫而空了 ^_^

只是有时候会生疏了吧。

一直都在的，

是在想什么时候该结束这次自我放逐的事。

这一次回去还是有一些小症结，整体上却都平衡得不错了。是堆积的尘埃快扫干净了的征兆吧 ^_^ 怎么听起来此行倒像是个出院前测试一样，呵呵。

最近用android下载了村上春树一系列的小说，《奇鸟行状录》里的本田先生批言：没有水流的时候，就老实待着别动。若是逆流而动，一切都将干涸。一切都干涸了，人世就一片漆黑。
所以要注意水流。。。
那是说，如果发现水在流动，就得抓紧时机顺流而去吗？如果本已在水流之中，却出现清澈活跳的岔流，又该怎么办呢？

咋看之下，道理似乎和咱老祖先《庖丁解牛》是一样的，批大却，导大窾，以无厚入有间，恢恢乎其于游刃必有余地矣！那么当刃遇到两个相连的大却和大窾，只要明确地知道要解的那一块的形状大小，那往哪一个却或窾批下去导下去都是对的吧 :)

早上就开始下不停的秋雨让天气转凉了呢。穿上了外套，呷着今天的第二杯热饮，在想，这样写意又sustainable的生活，还实在是难得呀。。。要这样过一辈子也不赖吧？即使当时在favco工作时也曾因为很不一样的原因有类似的心情。。。看来还是个容易满足的小孩 ^_^

还是继续注意着水流吧 :)

回家

要回家怎么那么兴奋？好像个大孩子似的，从中学住校开始，这种感觉就始终没有变过呢。。。说不定就是那时候就养成的pavlov效应 ^_^

如今却又坐在办公室里自己熟悉的位子上了。昨天回来后本该大扫除一番，却因为舟车劳顿和羽球运动了被荒废以久的肌肉在抗议而只换了床单和枕套，就倒头大睡了。只好今天放工后，把离家一段时候回来后该做的常务一次解决咯~ 打扫、洗衣、还有食物补给。

不知不觉，入秋已半个月，布城却仍然牢牢抓着夏天，一点秋意都还没有。让我多穿几天的背心短裤吧 ^_^

平静，是再次和根接触后的平静 :)

我的《陋室铭》

说起《陋室铭》，倒是和现在的心情挺有共鸣的~
可以调素琴，阅金经；无丝竹之乱耳，无案牍之劳形。只可惜少了谈笑的鸿儒，呵呵 :P
就是想念你们这些鸿儒们才想回家的呀！

再怎么说，还是安静地享受着现在浑身自在，no strings attached 的感觉 :)
总觉得生活这样，也不需要再多些什么，能够一直这样就好了。。。本来无一物，多出来的，都是尘埃呀 ^_^ 有鸿儒的地方，也总会有些丝竹和案牍等着的。等把堆积得让我喘不过气来的尘埃洗净后，再回去见你们吧，我的鸿儒们 ^_^

one of the best hikes

Totally quenched my inner fire. And I'm a happy girl ready to take on the world again XD This 6hrs hike is probably the biggest challenge I've faced in a while and it's totally wicked sick!

2hrs drive south of Brisbane lies a certain Mt. Barney. The area around the lower and upper portals is where all the excitement unfolds ^_^

The hike reminds me so much of the one down Wallaman Falls with Ally and Surein, I was even basking in the joy of the memory ^_^ The first part of the hikes were quite similar, where the ground is clad with open eucalyptus forest typical to this region. Then it came to the never ending uphill downhill uphill downhill bit. After a few creak crossing, we arrived at the lower portals of Mt. Barney after about 1hr15min. Then, it was time to get wet, and we found a shallow place at around knee hight to wade thru the rather rapid stream.

We then continued to hike thru a particularly high hill to get to the upper portal. And then the fun, or terror, whichever way you want to look at it, beggins ^_^

The picture shows a part of the valley at the upper portal, with Mt. Barney itself as background. Walking, sliding, dropping, climbing, lizarding up and down the rocks, was the only way to traverse the valley. To be honest, wearing a pair of running shoes, I couldn't have done the lizarding parts without the attention of the seasoned rock climbers.

A small drama to add some effects:
We departed Brisbane at 6am and I got dropped off home at around 6.30pm. The hike is finished at an effective 40degC heat. Two of our group of 15 got heat stroke and needed a small rescue team to bring in water and electrolytes. Fortunately both recovered after taking the electrolytes and were able to walk again. In the end they even came to the pub for a beer with us :) Similar incident happened in the same hike the year before, and I'm just glad that everyone turned out OK. Lesson learnt: always bring your first aid kit to a hike!

Bad sleep at the backpackers last nite, and it's been a long day. Seeking my bed soon, nites :)

心血来潮

做了奇怪的事情。有人在自己的人地盘住backpackers的? 嗯,其实如果Make sense的话，又有何不可呢? ^_^

这两个星期的自己却实有点怪怪的。是病得烧坏脑了?呵呵。今早磅说俺从墨尔本回来后三个星期内共掉了2.5kg,那是大于俺体重的5%…真的被消磨了呀…

哎,话说回来，今晚住backpaCkerS是为准时赴明早6点在weStend附近的登山集合。这种时候最怀念每次把我载上载下的阳弟和父亲大人了XD其实也因为没有看过周末夜晚人声鼎沸的West End才觉定了作怪的。

明天的登山,今晚才从美国登陆的技术总监S,竟然在最后一分钟报名了…就让我今晚活在不知道会不会和技术总监一起登山的复杂情续下吧 ^_^

希望明天会是个登山的好天 =)

好多想说的呀。。。最近却很难把脑袋里的东西转换成有意义的文字。

这几天又来了，一直一直只想回家。只好在做喜欢的事情的时候，提醒自己，回家就没办法干这个了。看到书里面的主人翁因为找三餐而烦恼的时候，暗自庆幸自己从来不用为此着急，又想起回家的话或许自己就和他们一样了。一直一直在找说服自己不要回家的论点，一直一直在证明这里没啥不好，却还是想回家。。。

是因为实验室没有了过后，工作方面太没有意义了吧。。。感觉像是在浪费时间。搬来YP的办公室后，背后多了很多双眼睛，没有了在UQ那里的自由。那是把本来是要被浪费的时间拿来做自己更有营养的事的自由 ^_^

那天难得扭开电视，看到一个广告，一个人被问"what do you want out of life?"，他的回答是"可以写意地在海边散步，还有和认识的人在一起"。。。多诱人的答案呀！

哎，又需要endorphin了。待会儿又去跑吧。希望别下雨。。。

Got the ticket to Beethoven 7 in June! T_T Got box seats de ticket!!!

Tickets had only been open for sale earlier this month and the box seats are almost sold out already! Geez, it comes to prove that people had really been prying on this one...

1. Wagner Prelude and Liebestod from Tristan and Isolde
2. Liszt Piano Concerto No.1
are also on the menu for the night and I had been doing homework on them. And ended up falling in love with Liszt's T_T The night will be concluded by Beethoven's 7th. Wonder if my emotion state would end up like how it was stirred by the Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra playing this piece... Apotheosis indeed >___<

On another overdue note, here's Rafa practicing and drawing a crowd in Melbourne Park about two weeks ago, during the Australian Open.

Te amo rafa~ Should go and watch him in Roland Garros someday :)

嘿，这样的优差，什么时候都欢迎~基本上就是用公款买自己爱吃的，加上不用自己一个人辛苦地啃完一大包XD 差点就建议来点红高粱呀、五加皮呀、女儿红呀、什么的~ 他们竟然说青岛啤酒没怎样，哼！该拿咱家后面印度人自己做的椰花酒又去给他们放毒~

还是无间道

disoriented.

怎么每次稍稍离开布城几天，就会想回家呢？竟然有了在三月飞回马后，就赖着再也不回来布城的冲动。。。

那是昨晚踏入房门之前的事。

在房间内的灯亮起的那一刻，还是有了回到家的感觉。。。好矛盾呀。是在一星期的劳顿后，被房间整齐舒适的布置给骗了吧。

今天回公司上班，管理层一份份的工作推过来，脑袋似乎还操作顺利。投入工作后，reverse跳飞机回家的事就像一阵烟一样，被轻易地挥散了。我果然融入hydrexia了吧。。。在办公室厨房里咬着当季盛产的桃子的时候，竟然一面开始在给崭新的hydrexia办公室的布置动歪脑筋了。真会自己surprise自己呀。到昨天还在担心会有一段时间因为沉溺在回忆里，没办法回到工作的现实呢 ^_^

可是呢，还是期盼着三月份的到来。已经braced myself for每次回去或离开时那灵魂被撕裂的感觉。即使这样，还是期盼着。。。

flood assessment

Hydrexia's lab went under... Water fully submerged our prototype cage (therefore cannot be seen in the picture) and up to the roof of the little building behind our lab. It went to about 1m deep in our workshop/lab level. Rumour confirmed, the building is going to be demolished and hence... breath in... no lab. Till we build a new one in YP.

How close our Yeerongpilly office got to being flooded... The flood water was separated only by the street infront of our premise.

The most shocking pics are of the chemical storage cage where all our waste material were moved to. Both in terms of wot the flood had deposited over there and also of wot it had carried away with it. Not suitable for public eyes XD Nah... just havn't got hold of the pics :P

But I do get this one~ True Aussie spirit ;)

专以孩子的眼睛看世界，以大马为写作背景的许友彬老师，竟然给英年早逝的伟大导演Yasmin Ahmad写了个追悼的作品呢 ^_^ 还竟然连dikir barat里的wau bulan也搬出来了呢！Dikir barat是以前到处去表演廿四节零鼓时才有幸看到的精彩马来文化。这样的文章是乡愁的氧气，加上最近水灾后人情的升温，和离家快半年堆下的燃料，会燃起熊熊烈火的呀~ ^_^

《河两岸》写的是被河分开的华人农村和马来甘榜，还有那道分开她们的历史、政治和偏见的河。听起来好像是被很严肃、很不可碰触地壳包围着的话题吧？却被老师在四年级的达达的帮助下，轻松清纯地剖开了，浸淫其中呢~

达达和我的轩弟弟一样，是个emo的小孩。有头脑有主见的小孩，都会变emo吧 ^_^ 因为精神上的需求没有被照顾好。因为平常的小孩，没有这方面的需要，所以一般监护人都会忽略了头脑想太多的这一群特别的需求吧。。。

断了线随北风飘到河对岸的wau bulan，带着达达去找莎菲卡。故事就从那里延续下去。

“可是……”爸爸还是有话说。“我们要延续香火。我担心我们的列祖列宗没有人拜。”

“黑有黑的美。”姐姐插嘴说：“鼻子比较挺，睫毛比较长，混血儿最美了。”
我也有话说。“瑞安也很黑呀，鼻子又扁，不好看。”
妈妈则说：“一个人的皮肤是黑是白，跟他做人，有什么关系吗？”
我觉得妈妈这句话很有意思，值得深思。
爸爸妥协了。“如果阿华坚持要娶她，我也没有办法。不过，如果能够娶华人，还是比较好。”
妈妈说：“帮你解决问题的人不是阿华。”
爸爸问：“那又是谁？”
妈妈说：“阿华的女朋友——珊蒂。”

Brisbane flood day 3

Back at work as train back on running. Four others turned up. Two of them have powercut at home. We are the lucky ones.

As the train passed by the stations leading up to YP, receding flood water can still be seen in Salisbury, Rocklea and Moorooka, some 7mins train ride away from our place in Sunnybank. It is unnerving. It is no wonder that train service was suspended between YP to Kingston, a bit south of Sunnybank.

The area around Hydrexia lab in UQ is still closed until Wednesday. Any assessment of damage will have to wait until then. The Chemical waste storage place in UQ also went under. Now the worries are with our waste material drums floating away, threatening environment and human health X_X

2 more turn up :) apparently those in the north are also alright :) the flood missed Matt Greaves' house by a metre ^_^ The three managers MG, JP and my boss Andrew are going to friends' place to help with cleaning and resettling. Dave the seaman had spent the off days touching up his three row boats for incoming clean up jobs near the Moreton bay. Most of them just came in to see if everyone's is alright or need any help, leaving immediately or by lunch time.

An aside story. LL and Rand went to pick up two buddies who were stranded at St. Lucia yesterday. They were without power, without food, car without petrol and had mobile phones with low batts. They bought petrol with them and the two came to our place for some rest and food before moving on to their relative and friend who live further south. Thumbs up!

These are but little stories that happen closest to me, not even a corner of the iceberg of the compassion shown all around Queensland.

Hats off to Queenslanders!

again on the flood event

Sipping tea and nipping ginger nut cookies are usually reserved for lazy Sundays. The flood has obviously brought that forward to a Thursday afternoon.

LL drove us to Garden City for groceries, and there were some quite telling scenes, as fresh food were swept by consumers and supplies are not ready to come in.

The basic essentials like bread and milk are all still available tho. We aren't gonna starve just yet ^_^

A few of my colleagues are affected. Matt Greaves was evacuated, Marc was supposed to move to his new place the day it flooded and now the new place is flooded, and Todd couldn't get home for a couple of days but is now believed to found a way back.

Live shots from choppers broadcasted on TV had confirmed that our hydrogen lab and a few machines left with it are well and truly gone.

CTO just msged to let us know that Hydrexia's gonna be open tomorrow but people are to judge if it is safe to travel to work. Guess I will leave it for the Queensland Rail to decide for me. Hope the train service will resume soon.

personal account of the Brisbane flood

It all started to concern me since yesterday morning, when an emergency meeting was held in Hydrexia, responding to an evacuation alert regarding our hydrogen lab in St. Lucia, less than 50m away from the bank of the swelling Brisbane River.

The team rallied and ended up moving about 90% of all the movable items to our Yeerongpilly premise, where little me with minimal muscle mass held station. The harmful waste materials were stored in a chemical waste storage facility in the University of Queensland; hydrogen pressure vessels, prototype systems and heavy unmovable machineries were tied and bolted down. The lab itself was stripped.

When people left on the final run to Yeerongpilly at 1530, the river was lapping at the base of our P4D1 (prototype 4 development 1) and the system cage. Water level had risen 1.5m since then, to a level of 4.5m measured at the city gauge. High tide is coming in around 1430 this afternoon, and the highest level is predicted to be hit by 0400 tomorrow morning, where it is predicted to go to 5.5m, and stay high until Saturday.

Train service was temporarily suspended this morning, leaving me no choice but to call in for leave. CTO Stephanie had duly replied "Stay home!"

A few colleagues might have been evacuated from home or cut off as area surrounding their home flooded last evening.

LL went to work this morning and is sent home by the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital just after lunch. The area around the hospital near the Suncorp Stadium is well and truely flooded.

Work before and after the Christmas - New Year period has been about occupying myself with self generated work, along side with the occasional tasks or meetings boss might come up with.

Too much paper reading. On topics in reports I'd already submitted. Which wasn't entirely a waste of time as there happened to be an overlooked point which might have significant impacts on our vessel design. The issue had been circulated to the Apps team managers and our CTO under boss' recommendation. Mildly amused by anticipating their reactions~

Then too much web surfing. To prepare myself for the programs coming in the first half of this year. On subjects that might potentially come in handy on those researches, like Expanded Natural Graphite, Thermal Programmed Desorption, mass spectroscopy gas analyzer, random particle packings etc. It might all sound alien, as it was to me two days ago. Though Xuan would have loved this part of my job, as checking up new stuffs on wikipedia is one of his most enjoyed hobbies.

Anyway, leave me like this for much longer and I will be bored to death XD

Can't wait to resume experimenting, and submerging myself in the entanglement of unexplainable data ^_^

圣诞长假和家人渡过了忘忧的旅程，回来后三天的静养，精神充沛。涣散的精神在这两天无咖啡因、低卡、低碳、低脂、高蛋白的饮食调理下，再加上今天的5k冲刺和瑜伽课，算是稍微集中了吧 :)

把自己的状态准备得好好的，好像职业球员进入新赛季前的调养啊 ^_^

包着麻油调味鸡胸丁、钮扣蘑菇、罗马番茄和mozzarella cheese melt的奥姆勒~

Year planner里今年上半年的活动已经看起来很可观了呢~放下工作上即将展开的让人兴奋的研究课题不说，撇开生活上各种想尝试的也不说^_^，月历已成了这个样子：
1月：澳网、塔斯马尼亚
2月：农历新年快乐
3月：改换素衣回中原~
4月：复活节假日节目待订
6月：贝多芬第七交响曲布里斯班再现^_^

看来想做的只能放在二月、五月和六月了吧。每次都很巧啊，会碰上当地的交响乐团演奏贝多芬第七，在哥德堡也去听过一次。这次一起奏的还有李斯特的第一钢琴协奏曲，和感情丰富的Wagner Prelude and Liebestod from Tristan and Isolde。为了准备到现场去好好享受，下载听了后，已经爱上李斯特了~ ^-^

今天瑜伽课回家的路上，不禁拿了瑜伽和在马来西亚上的电子风琴课作了比较。结论是，还是电子风琴比较能让我投入的忘记时间，忘记现实吧:) 好想回去学琴哦~ 太奢侈了吧。。。现在一大堆乱七八糟的其他兴趣里面，想把它插进去也得挪一挪时间哟 ^___^ 怎么我就不能好好专一地，就什么都想试。。。 :P

无论如何，明天开工咯~
希望好的开始会带来好的一年，大家也顺顺利利，开开心心的吧 ^_^

Less than a month ago, I was telling LL that I wasn't really going to celebrate xmas...

And see wot you people have done to me now!!!!!!!!!!

The decos and build ups down here in Brissy are not as strong as it was up there in Sweden, where the whiteness that covers everything itself was a constant reminder of the festive season. However, everything just seems merrier than it has ever been! Even our serious CTO Stephanie did a nice one, the card she left on everyone's desk on Friday morning was a very personalized and well thought one... soak up the sweeeetness ^_^

Marc and I volunteered to organize Hydrexia's second xmas party of the year ^_^ Actually I never did, he made me do the veges... Matt Plato was again behind the barbes, nice people~ Evil food and evil drinks, with loads of fat and alcohol under a warm early summer sun, everyone was basking with happiness and became so sooo amiable. LL's wisdom: You want to make guys happy? Feed them XD

In the midst of things, the long missed light-hearted-ness had somehow found its way to my door step. It is almost as if it's school days again... and it's not so difficult to just go on and embrace it :) Whether it is the whole nation boiling the atmosphere up, or the anticipation of my family's visit, I cannot tell. A shame that the blokes are back in Semenyih, 扛着顶着咱家屋顶的柱子 ^_^ Things would be perfect if you two are here, 就当是遗憾美吧~ ^_^

To save mama from frowning when she sees me on Wednesday, I went for a last minute hair cut. Either the hairdresser was feeling my mood and was trying to make me look like it, or I really just look like a student... >_<

About the task of carrying around a bass guitar, 2/3 my own height...

Back in high school, I used to have my bass lessons on Sundays. the classes were in Cheras, which was conveniently on the way back to my rental place from home town. Every Saturday, I would leave my rental place in KL carrying a slick black Yamaha RBX270 in a strapped bag along with other luggage.

Bus fares was 80cents towards the Kota Raya direction, it didn't matter where you stop. Affected with metrophilia, I had always preferred to take KTM from Sentul station to Kajang. Also, with the carry-ons as I had, packing onto a sardine tinned bus was a nightmare I don't want to recall. However, the problem was, getting from the bus station to the train station involved a 15mins walk under the steaming hot sun. With the luggage and the bass guitar, the task became formidable.

Then we started to look for options. Taxi from batu 3 1/2 Jalan Ipoh to Sentul station usually costs ~RM2.5 to RM3. If you get 3 or 4 to share, it almost costs the same as the bus journey costs. It very quickly became my default route to home ^_^

Cab drivers were often careful and curious people, wondering what on earth was in my heavy black long pack. M16s??! quite a few asked ^_^

This morning the task of carrying a bass guitar on a journey involving taking a train, a bus and a 400m walk had again fallen onto me. With the helpful Aussies who voluntarily opened the train door, who patiently waited and made sure I got off the bus first, and who stopped his bike to allow me to cross the road; along with the kind summer morning sun, it din seem as formidable at all ^_^ aah, people~

彻底地打扫了房间，清理了一些琐事，又换来了周日半日闲 :)

soy milk 泡的rusian caravan真的降服了我的味蕾呀~ 喝着这茶，今天看的是不太容易入口的萧红。是当年华文课本里那一篇《火烧云》让我认识了这个奇特的黑龙江作家吧。还记得那时候和爸爸说起对《火烧云》的喜爱，竟然得到了他的共鸣和长篇小说《呼兰河传》的推荐呢 ^_^

事过大概十年了吧，却至今还未着手于《呼兰河传》。这次看的是比较少接触的散文和短篇小说，共16篇。这书的排版还真不错啊，文章是越到后面越引人入胜。看完了第13篇，《山下》，被它给俘虏了~ 不同于它前面文章里的浓厚乡土味，这一篇虽然仍然在写最低的劳作阶层，却有一种宫崎骏/studio ghibli 清新朴实的气息呢 :) 同时也在多方面的探讨人性在不同情况下的变化，多方面的体验生活的小细节，让人倒抽一口气地赞哦 ^_^

还有三篇文章和1/4杯的茶在静候。压轴的是早逝的萧红接近生命尾端时写下的最后一部作品，和《呼兰河传》齐名的《小城三月》。心理上该有个尊敬的准备吧。。。

p/s: studio ghibli 的作品一直是俺的精神死穴，至高解放wei~ ^_^

working with fine measurements

Started on writing a post about bugs, and then thought it might freak ppl out and better not to post it XP

Finally got a bit less hectic at work :)

Two and a half hrs to go until next experiment ends, and next output deadline is just before xmas. Sounds like time for a blog? ^_^

Thesis work with Ericsson has poisoned me permanently with designing and performing R&D experiments, where my chaotic brain seems to function best. Hydrexia practically employed me for this "Carrier Stress Proof Testing" program, as they thought it's a Sci-gineer's job. Can't possibly find a job that suits me better :)

The carrier stress testings involve measuring carrier tubes with wall thicknesses down to 0.1mm. Diameters are in units of XX.XXmm, measured to an accuracy of 0.01mm wei~ No one wanted to believe my test results in the beginning as they are so far away from their prediction from working with the material for close to 5 years. For a while, the lack of confidence and experience had me doubting my own data under the grilling of seniors.

But as the program goes on, we learnt. Didn't realise that using Verniers involves such techniques and delicate fingers ^_^ With my supervisor backing the results up, we built a mathematical model that gives sense to all the test data. As our story was bought, the CTO and Mech Eng manager has also given their full support, even contributing explanations for data points that have gone astray. That left the PAE manager Jordan P to be convinced... He's one hard nut to crack man XD

On the other hand, the Technosystem machines test with 1gram samples. The accuracy of this one goes right down to 0.0001g. Probably can measure the weight of my soul with it XD Marc and I have been competing to prepare a sample as close to 1.0000g as possible. Apparently, he had been doing it for almost two years and had never achieve the feat, and, ahem, my record is already on 1.0005g~ ^_^

aaah... boss just sent more work in. Will worry about it on Monday.

小小鸟

阿肯大哥的msn pm又变成了 流浪中... 。对比起来，另外一个在msn列表上，名字刚好在他上面的家伙，pm用了 发现自己很像一个浪子。。。 ，看了不觉好笑 ^_^

看来，别论程度，爱当浪子的人还真不少呢。。。有些是想当却从来没机会当过，像上面的X君；有些是真的爱当不归了，如肯大哥；还有些是爱当却被社会捆缚着跑不掉的，perception上，小小的我也是一个被这样定型的人吧 ^_^ 近一年多来，有点想摆脱这个定型，可是却徒劳无功，束手无策呀。还是蛔虫们看见了，一个说我在cut back on travelling，另一个说我已经过饱和了，呵呵。事实呢？travelling已经成了自己的一部分，好像呼吸那样，没特别地去在意，去想它，却完完全全的和生活融在一起了吧。所以都没特别计划去什么地方做些什么，却还是一直在旅行吧。。。对放下一切踏上旅途的游方，现在却很少在想了。成了夜雨间，一杯热茶在手，什么时候的一首不再流行的歌忽然播出时，难得激起的涟漪吧 ^_^

爸爸昨天在哼的歌，是很普及的一首，送给在被生活蹂躏着的大家 XD 好啦，好啦，换成在和生活较劲的大家好了 ^_^ 年轻人，加油咯！

到了周末都会想回部落格这里，有时候是来整理生活里所接触的一切，有时候是来发"离骚" ^_^，有时候纯粹是让心灵歇一歇。

是因为颠沛惯了，所以有时候会向往有规律的生活吧。。。像在favco工作的那段期间，总是像跟着程式一样的:

星期一赶着日出开车到senawang，总喜欢在一个星期的第一天超时OT。回家打扫一番，洗个澡，看一会儿书，做点什么，就累得睡了。

星期二的晚间通常是被grocery shopping和练琴占据吧~

星期三没去futsal场搞乱的话，那时间还是会被音符和文字抢掉。

星期四。。。和星期三一样。

星期五是羽球天，虽然别扭的羽球不是心头好 XD，但还是喜欢运动，还有和朋友共渡的时光吧 :)

星期六都奉献给黑白键了，实在没有很多时间练习啊。。。晚间享天伦，是为最简单的快乐吧。。。

星期天喜欢和家人一起活动，喜欢和旧同学聚会，喜欢赖在家里什么都不做，喜欢在睡觉前准备下一个星期该带去senawang的衣物和用品。。。

那么简单固定的时间表，其实会让心扎实起来 :) 容易满足的小鬼？ ^^ 不小咯，呵呵。。。

玲和rand告假去moreton island放松了。可恶呀，竟然比我早了一步呢 ^^ 是想在圣诞假期间和过来作客的妈妈、轩弟弟和nOnO一起去的。倒是现在有人帮忙搜集资料咯 ^^

昨晚在和玲和她们的客人素、彦和克里斯大玩wii Just Dance后的亢奋下，彻夜看了dan brown的 "the lost symbol"。一直到天色淡白才不甘愿却dutiful地就寝。中午醒来又是home alone了，一面呷着加豆奶的russian caravan，一面继续紧张的剧情，dan brown的作品真的会让人放不下来，想一口气看完啊~ 而且还是让人变神经质的作品呢，什么风吹草动、门呀、桌椅呀稍稍发出任何声音都有威胁感呵！*惊* 偏偏家里一个鬼影都没有 T_T 持续的阅读只被准备和消耗自己弄的怪怪的green curry鸡饭打断 XD

在玩wii的大家 ^^

然后，又去跑了4k。officially 变成4k了呢。比上个星期快了2分钟，但还是有点pathetic的时间，只有微坡的跑道竟然要花上23分钟呀。上个星期还说可以怪罪于旅途的劳累，这个星期难道要怪昨晚的酒精？呵呵。。。下星期天6.30am在布里斯本市区内有一个沿河的5k长跑，没参加过这样的活动，也没一口气跑过5k，该试试了吧 :)

回来躺在庭院的木长凳上喘气，眼里却是意外地漂亮的一幅画~映入眼帘的，一角是在落花的jacaranda，一角是微暗的屋檐，直插进来的阳伞的顶端，然后就是一大片的蓝天，和往东南方缓缓前进的白云 ^_^

心也变得很静 ^_^
一只小昆虫飞过，想起了爱看云的鹿丸君。
嗯，也想起了欠你们的jacaranda照片。这就来咯~布里斯本漫天漫地的紫色sakura ^^

诗人状态

好像又濒临诗人状态了。。。
每次都是这样的前奏。。。
专业角度上，这种多愁善感状态会很不好吧。在favco的话，可以想象，生存不下去 X_X 现在却偏偏有一个industrial hippy当上司，不小心投其所好了，呵呵。
至于学习方面，诗人状态倒是pick up超快，脑筋耐力超强的~是因为全心全意在感受、在浸淫吧。

进入诗人状态，会变成名副其实的multi-task-queen 哦 ^^
是因为一个常理上会吸掉很多时间的component不在，暂停了对他们的责任，却让他们成了原动力，疼的人 :)
所以啊，既然选择了就要做出成绩，不然怎么对得起你，对得起自己呢！:)
嗯，一直都是以这样的心态在努力的。

home alone, yet again.

waiting for the hydrogen content on my experiment to get to the targeted wt%. shouldn't take more than half an hour now. before that, i have nothing else to do as all previous results has already been incorporated into the report. a second program has been completed early this week and now there's only this one on my desk. had a glance that marc's tests on the technosystems had finished running, shall do the post test processings for him as he's caught a cold and taken leave for the day. all in all, i miss the never ending workload in favco, where u can choose to work on another thing when u are fed up with one.

home alone, as in i'm literally alone in our tree sheltered UQ office by the Brisbane river. different measures had to be taken now. the doors are shut and i put a sign on it for visitors to call in for access. for my frequent travels between the two offices, i continue to be the mail girl and delivery person, but at least cleaning service resumed so that is now stroke off my job scope ^^

the jacarandas of brisbanian spring are blooming so magnificiently it matches the famous sakuras. will definitely do a post on them after coming back from cairns :)

the overdue mt. coot-tha hike

high wind and splendid sun for brisbane~ LL voiced her concerns on slippery tracks from the down pour last night but this weather is too good to miss :) however it was indeed a good foresight as mt. coot-tha wasn't spared by the recent flooding events in queensland. however, it was still a good 4hrs hike overall, combining various roads and tracks over a few creeks and falls :)

sigh, god does delay things for good reasons... first of all i would not have found my way across Simpson's falls today to a well hidden alternative for the closed down track if it isn't for the track maps that i had only foraged from the GardenCity library two weeks ago; and the trip wouldn't be as appreciated if a tropical wind hasn't blown colours back into my otherwise placid life just the nite before :)

an hour's travel on train and bus brought asa from Sunnybank to the Brisbane Botanic Garden at the foot of mt. coot-tha.

but nay, as much as my scholarly brother xuan might appreciate this place, today's destination is the hiking tracks that webbed all over the 287m mountain which happens to be the most Northern part of Australia to record snow. sit back and enjoy :)

bits and pieces from busking

it was amusing to see the brisbane river swelled and swelled in the endless spring rain. until it finally caused a flood in a suburb neighbouring our yeerongpilly office. the river had flowed reversely and the flows joined head on just off the elanor schonell bridge less than half a kilometer away from our UQ office. The waterline had risen so much that part of the trees and bushes on the banks are now under water. and i kept on amusing myself watching the nature works.

hydrexia had officially moved to yeerongpilly. the UQ office is now quite deserted, except for mornings when fellow scientist marc and i need to tend our experiments in the hydrogen lab. being the sole figure in the office is a good experience for one to see the fuller operational expects of a small company. i greeted the mailman who is a familiar face, the delivery guy who's gutted with the weather, the fruitbox lady who marveled at the discrete location of our office; directed phone calls to each person in yeerongpilly; and now that most of the dirty animals a.k.a. "blokes" are gone, i've also cleaned part of the kitchen. the cleaning would need to be extended to the workshop, hydrogen lab and the office...

the shed in yeerongpilly that is to be our future hydrogen lab has been transformed into a jamming studio, equipped with instruments, amplifiers, electronic mixers and stuffs... the guys had been convincing me to pick up bass again, and there is one just lying in the shed as i type on. i'm forcing them to learn "海阔天空" from the hongkong band Beyond as a condition ^^ they are also trying to convince my boss andrew to bring his air rifle, and to make dave bring over his dirt bike so that ppl can jump ramps in the factory ="= the board members are coming for a visit in two weeks time, not sure that they'll be too thrilled with it...

mails

as usual, a light storm and gust had tumbled our battered mailbox yesterday and the contents spilled allover and were all wet. a mail that is supposed to be delivered to 67 Breton street was among others. the address is one that is along my jogging track, so it was easy to just have a short walk and drop it at its supposed destination.

suppose that tiny deed had brought me a non-proportional reward in the form of a mail from karin this evening, with Poseidon, Gothenburg's guardian, proudly stamped on it ^^ so she hasn't move to the north as mentioned in her last mail I received in Malaysia. guess that would mean that the move will not happen soon, as winter closes in up north there in Sweden. in this era, it is probably a bit strange to know someone who you can only correspond with by traditional pen and paper mails ^^ information is delayed by a certain period and people talk about things that are a few months old~ imagine that a soldier writes to his wife, and said everything is fine, but when his wife receives his mail a month later, he's actually X_X already :P

all those thoughts passed me as I tear open the bright yellow envelope. kinda glad she hadn't use a stamped seal or i'll really let my imagination bring me back to ancient times ^^

a birthday card? hasnt been expecting that! not yet in the correct season of the year afterall... equally elating anyway :D

it's probably the joy i feel when receiving physical mails from private acquaintances that motivates me to continue sending them out myself :) though it is also ever a pleasure to mindfully word the sentences, carefully design the decorations, and thoughtfully consider the attachments. each of those is almost a work of art and creativity. mails is probably the one and only thing that i never discard and bring along no matter which bit of the world comes under my feet.

no, email can be fast and effective, but it can never replace the posts :)

over the right hand end, it says i should find the right balance of this place and start to build the foundation of a home. as indicated in a few posts down, it seems like a simple but sturdy shelter would do the job. so i started to work on the frame of a tree house, in reaching for more light and wind, while closer to nature and sky and further from earth, where simplicity is the essence, and creativity the charm.

and i felt more solid.

the Rain Wild Chronicles

Nighteyes the wolf from "The Assassin's Apprentice" had first captured my likings. reading on, the series had got me totally fallen in love with The Fool the court jester, who brought the reading further to the introduction of more delightful characters in Althea the sailor-trader girl and Reyn the rain wild treasure hunter. and belatedly the spirited Malta. to develop a liking of Malta might stir a storm with other readers, but nah, cant help, Reyn loves her, 我只好爱屋及乌 ^^ Robin Hobb is good in sculpturing her characters :)

her newest release, the Rain Wild Chronicles had been on my reading list for a while. Moving to brissy certainly do no harm to the opportunity to lay hand on a copy of it.

my fondness of Trehaug the rain wild city, featured in the book title, might not be totally Reyn-induced ^^ the swampy marsh where an acidic river flows, had forced the rain wilders to engineer an entire city on sturdy tree tops. unearthing treasures from the ancient Elderling city buried under Trehaug was the sole reason that the city existed. not so much different from Kiruna up in the arctic circle aye? ^^ having that inclination, to be presented with a whole chronicle based on the rain wild would be an utter joy~

so far, the reading had been living up to expectations. Althea, Brashen and Paragon from the Liveship Traders Trilogy have paid a short appearance, which is always nice to have for sentimental reasons :) the only minor complain is that the characters in this series are not outstanding enough, just yet. Having high hopes for Thymara the “rain wild-touched” girl who’s borned with reptile claws.

嗯，真的和歌词一样，虽然小鸟和小溪，还有广阔的草原都是流浪远方的原因，但coffin上的最后一根铁钉，还是为了那棵梦中的橄榄树吧。。。
经过两个月半的沉淀和不同的冲击，很多事都理得比较清楚了呢 :)
上个post里面的决定，算是确定了橄榄树的方向，开始自己的千里之行吧。。。

整篇都寓意很深哟
却也惊人的贴切 :)

和三毛一样，最后也会回到远方的故乡吧。。。

re-living uni time

one would have thought that the life of a professional should be quite different from that of a uni student who had to live with a monthly budget at half of the national poverty line. in simpler words to describe the second part of the statement above, the poverty limit in sweden cuts at 7300kr per month, and i was happily surviving at 3500kr-ish (hey, even that is a lot of money!). and needless to mention, melbourne days were even more to the extreme.

but, but~ even though the monthly cap has been mentally lifted, the basic ways are still very much unchanged. the food, the accommodation, the trasportation, the pastimes and even the way people back home are missed ^^ it is especially amusing when looking at all this from the perspective of food. still cooking our all time favourite bacon risotto (edited recipe with herbs, and bacon de 绝配 mushroom! see picture ^^), sipping chamomile tea at night (no longer adding honey to it, tht's suppose to be an adult's twist ^^), only buying potato chips when they are 2 for $4 ^^ (no longer need to hide them under the bed~).

a guy who went up to mt cotton with us over the weekend was putting in picture his nightmare of having too much sweet and sour pork in his 4 UK years. ironically i am still having a profound weekness for honey chicken as it was something that i could only afford to consume on special occasions (geez, i was really that poor) ^^ it later became a dish that the shanghai chef relied upon to cheer me up when i was having a particularly though shift at the food court in Northland. he would purposely cook a tray of honey chicken 1hr before close of business so that there will be leftover for me to bring home for dinner :)

all in all, enjoy awakening and reincarnating memories at the moment :)

Just had a look at the KPI my boss drafted for me. Is it surprising that my main tasks for this quarter comprise of taking over the two topics they fired at me during my face to face interview in April? So they actually hire me to solve those two problems based on the proposal they asked me to prepare for the interview??? No wonder they were feverishly taking notes back then.

and brilliant that this only dawns to me after serving them for a good month 0_o

really should be doing the house assembly for SN1670-72...
instead half a day was happily spent doing house courses, laundry, cleaning, grocery shopping, the usual stuff. the other half was equally happily spent between hook and yarns, haha. dunno when will the final product be ready but will definitely post it up here! ^_^

the cash deposit function on the ATMs has proven to be such a convenient invention. a few buttons and my swedish account is practically empty. swedish crowns has become aussie dollars. half of them goes straight back into the machine, and into my aussie account. the other half will become september's expenses.

LL'd drove us to the foot of mount gravatt yesterday. not sure if hiking is an easy hobby for a friend to accommodate, haha. LL's de best~~ anyway, we went up and came down unscratched la. it wasn't a tough hike, want more details then come and hike with us ^^

ah, cant beat my conscience, going to have a look at house assembly ^^ have a good week ahead!

more tracks, toohey forest

a rather easy navigation through the Brisbanian public transport system, i was at the edge of toohey forest. too hungry for nature and too thirsty for endorphin, my badly itching legs were difficult to constrain from breaking into a run towards the eucalyptus clad land. with the impatience and without a map in hand, the entrance i found was therefore an unconventional one.

to quench the hunger and thirst, the GPS inside me naturally guided my feet towards a rocky climb. having to constantly wipe cobwebs off my face were telling me that the track i took was one that is less used by others :)

the lookouts at the end of the climb brought a glimpse of the distant brisbane city.

the descend then took me to a more established trail with posts for self guided walks and milestones marking the mileages are in place.

someone's dwelling is obviously within the range of the map...

so it was time for a paced walk then!

one wonders if these patterns on the silver trunk of gum trees are trails of vermins? ^^

the mass of protoplasm and hydroxyapatite which forms me emerged from the forest two stops down the road of the stop i got off the bus earlier. a two and a half hrs' walk in total :)

you know when i write like this, is when i'm picking up paperbacks and hardcovers again ^^ 果然是三日不读书则面目可憎啊~ 呵呵。the sequence of robin hobb's bingtown series was borrowed from the Garden City Library on LL's card. Been craving for it as it wasn't in any library in Gothenburg! ^^

work and walk

the job... is. just. like. wot. i. imagine. it. would. be. :) hope it will only go better as time passes :) the actual work is very very similar to my master's thesis which had given me such pleasure working on, taking care of very cranky machines, and working with mysterious materials which no one knows how they will behave subjected to different kinds of food to eat and beds to sleep. enjoying the challenge of working with the lack of resources :) though sometimes it does remind me of how thing were conveniently done in favco and were not appreciated XP

for two days now we've reverted to summer weather :) LL tour guided me around the brisbane river on the citycat ferry and we had a good walk from the powerhouse market back to the city :) will definitely visit the powerhouse again, captured by the overhead cranes in the old factory building XD

after two weeks, it's finally my turn to clean the house according to the roster. only have to clean once in 4weeks' really aint bad ^^ especially in this weather~

had a nice walk down the Les Atkinson park just opposite where we stay after a good half day's worth of labour. at about 500m x 100m, the park has some good tracks and nice sceneries with lots of lalangs. but seems a bit too small for my appetite ^^ should have brought the camera coz the sun was putting make ups on the park ^^ will do it nxt time and post some pics here :)

the track outside hydrexia's UQ (uni of queensland) office is another gem :) a band of aged trees and wild life it is. will continue to look for more good walking tracks :) see wot sweden's done to me ^^
